Do you need GTA 4 in order to play The Episodes From Liberty City?
As it's $7 on steam and I already have the original GTA 4 on console.

Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City includes both The Lost and Damned, and The Ballad of Gay Tony together and does not require a copy of the original Grand Theft Auto IV to play.
Been using a flash drive with my Windows XP laptop for some time now. Yesterday it suddenly doesn't recognize my flash, and only lists it as "Removable Disk (F:)". Clicking on it says that it's not formatted, and asks me to format it.
I have lots of important documents on it, any help would be much appreciated.

try a linux PC, good luck, I'm betting it's gone. If you do format it, immediately try using recuva.

A good cheap monitor?
Looking for cheap>good.
you need to plug them into your motherboard
I think they are.
Is there any other reason?
I think they are.

Are they plugged into the correct controllers? The pin-out for the diagnosis light is just like the one for USB front panel headers on some motherboards. Make sure they are plugged in fully etc. If its been like that forever you probably just forgot when you built it. I had hard-drive indicator LED on my first build backwards, aka not working and could have been destroyed, until I redid the build a few months later for wire management.

Newegg is out of 2500k, so is it a good idea to buy from TigerDirect? My build includes the 2500k, GTX 570 SLI, Z68, 2x4GB DDR3, monitor, m/k, etc., and is about $1.5k with shipping and handling. That's pretty much the same as the build I made at Newegg with Black Friday sales, but is there any reason I should stay away from TigerDirect? I only wonder this because nobody links builds from that website, and only from Newegg.
tigerdirect is fine if you can get it for the same price, their service is amazing and if you're a frequent customer they send you gift cards and free stuff all the time
people don't link there because most of the time they're more expensive than Newegg
Thank you, yeah that makes sense but sucks for Newegg for running out of 2500ks lol.
I remember I wrote a good review on resellerratings and got an email later from newegg telling me they were sending me a big pack of newegg swag.
That was in june.
What would be a good cpu cooler upgrade from a 212+?
What would be a good cpu cooler upgrade from a 212+?
nothing really, diminishing returns
only thing to do is go with something different, like wc (h60 isn't bad)
According to what I've heard from people with H60s I get better temps with my current 212+ but about 2~4C average.
How quiet are the corsair coolers? I want to watercool my next system completely, mainly for noise. I'd like to build a silent machine.
So I'm gonna buy something this year as I always do. I already have everything in terms of hardware and stuff like that, there is nothing that I don't have really.
One thing I'm gonna buy is Ivy and something else. Maybe for the first time try a full watercooling loop? Could be fun to try.
I am looking for the best and most price effective power supply to run this setup (pictured below)
[thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/4452.png[/thumb]
Along with the 2600k at 4.5 GHz and a Second GTX 480
[sp]Because I just picked up another 480 for only $100[/sp]
I just don't think my poor 700w will cut it anymore
Currently I've got a 15" laptop with these specs:
-GTX 460M (BC2: 30 FPS)
-i7-740QM (3094 Cinebench)
And on xoticpc, they're selling a sager for $1500 that has these specs:
-AMD Radeon 6990M (BC2: 57 FPS)
-i7-2670QM (3938 on Cinebench)
It's an assload more performance, but I've only had my laptop for 2 years and so far it runs pretty much everything, so should I hold out till 2012 Q4 for the next batches of GPUs and CPUs or get the deal right now?

not quiet, the fans included aren't great
you're spending stupid amounts on unnecessary upgrades and yet instead of getting proper watercooling you want a closed loop
either stop whatever you're doing wrong with the D14 or get a proper kit and not air cooler performance that costs more

Depends what you're aiming for.
For pure cooling ability take a look at the Noctua NH-D14, Thermaltake Frio OCK or Zalman CNPS12X.
If you're looking for decent cooling, yet quiet look at the NH-D14 (again), Be Quiet! Dark Rock PRO or a passive heatsink.
If you're looking for swag factor look at the Antec Kuhler 920 or a proper water-cooling loop.

CNPS12X haha good joke
just because you're happy to buy terrible ricey products doesn't mean you should tell other people to buy them
passive and decent cooling are two completely opposite concepts, grouping them together shows how little you know
Any good, small laptops for under 1000€?
I was first thinking about getting the Asus Transformer Prime, but then I thought that a Windows laptop would be quite nice too.
Doesn't need to be that powerful, some basic games like DEFCON or Half-Life 1 would be nice though.
Bump to new page.
Internet connection speed on my laptop over wifi: 23mb/s
Internet connection speed on my desktop over wifi: 4mb/s
Both with 5 bars of signal and both the only thing on the network at the time of testing. What gives?

I have a 13" Dell Vostro laptop. It's nothing special but it was dirt cheap compared to the Latitude selection. Vostro's are basically 'business' versions of standard Dell consumer laptops. The only difference is that they cost like half as much and they come in black.
Corsair A70=$20 or hyper 212+/evo which is $25/35
Will they all clear my hyperx ram modules on this board?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813121527
Yes not the best looking mobo but I got it paired with a 2600k for 270 bucks.
[editline]26th November 2011[/editline]
Here is the ram:
