Is it possible to upgrade/replace a video card in a laptop, particuarly acer? Sorry if this is the wrong thread.
If you ordered your laptop with a factory-standard gfx card, your GPU is not replacable.
I set my WRT54GS router with tomato fw into wireless ethernet bridge mode. It works nicely, but how the heck can I get to the router's configuration pages if the router is invisible on the network?
when updating bios, do I need to go from say 1.1 to 1.2 and so on, or can I just go from 1.1 to 1.3?
I'm looking for a VGA and sound switcher/port, or whatever you call it. I've seen something similar before. This device supports two VGA cables and allows you to simply push a button if you wish to switch. Something like this If something similar exists to sound cables, please let me know.

So might be the same with your router
My Zyxel router's configuration page is not usable in bridging mode, only when it's routing. So might be the same with your router
Well, how do I turn it back into routing mode when I can't access the configuration? EDIT: Figured it out! I changed my PC's ip address to a one in the routers subnet (that isn't used for brigding). Then I got access to the control panel of the router and enabled external connections to the control panel. Also I set the router's IP to the same subnet as the brigded devices. Now it was on that same subnet and I could access it like a normal router.
Dxtroy video capturing program; I've set that it doesn't record outgoing microphone sound, but it still does record the incoming microphones sounds (and the game sounds as wanted) So? I don't want it to record the incoming microphone sounds from my mates, lol
Can anyone recommend me a 64GB SSD (preferably with TRIM support)
Would a KVM switch work?
Yes, that's the name. Thank you. Do you happen to know if there is any KVM switches with red/white cable support?

How come some 7z archives end up larger than the original files? I bundled a bunch of video files into a 7z archive and it ended up slightly larger than the original files' combined size.
How come some 7z archives end up larger than the original files? I just replaced a jammed IDE CD/DVD drive with another IDE one but it only reads CDs. I know the cables are connected correctly and are not loose, so what is the problem? If it helps, the drive I just put in is a Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-111D.
What is the best codec for compressing raw Fraps or Dxtory footage for YouTube usage? [editline]9th December 2011[/editline] Traditionally I've used Xvid but that just doesn't seem to work well for me. My output always looks crummy. Looking for a good, second monitor. Anyone know any?
Can I add a card to paypal, make a purchase, then remove the card info? I don't want to leave my info on it.
For my 17th birthday I asked my parents for some money to buy some computer parts to build my own computer, but instead they already bought the parts for me. I couldn't really stand walking by my wrapped presents every day so I decided to unwrap all of them and wrap them back up to see what was inside, and one of them is a Sapphire Radeon HD 6970 2 GB DDR5 DL-DVI-I/SL-DVI-D/HDMI/Dual Mini DP PCI-Express Graphics Card 100311SR and I am wondering if this will be sufficient to run most games on max settings (I don't know a lot about computer parts) I'm expecting a lot of dumbs for this question though
Yea, you'll max a lot of games with a 6970.

6970 is a very strong card, you will be very happy with it. If you're looking for 60fps, you can probably play most modern games on it at 1080p while on max with little AA or high with AA. But it's a very good card.
