ehh the silent pros aern't that good http://www.arvutikeskus.ee/est/TOOTEKATALOOG/ARVUTIKOMPONENDID-Toiteplokid-PSU36/CORSAIR-PSU-TX-V2-650W-12CM-ATX231-80-CMPSU-650TXV2EU-108347 cheaper, outputs more 12V power you won't miss modularity if you can ziptie a few cables out of the way
well thats like 650W and the other one is 700W
More of the power is actually usable for what you want and it is manufactured by more reputable companies, so will probably last longer and stand more.
Is a 500 watt cooler master good for this system: i7 920 Gtx 550 ti 6gb of ram
well thats like 650W and the other one is 700W
only output rails you need to be paying attention to for a system anywhere near modern are 12V silent pro's 12V rail is 50A, 50*12=600W TX650V2s 12V rail is 53A, 53*12=636W [editline]18th December 2011[/editline]
Is a 500 watt cooler master good for this system: i7 920 Gtx 550 ti 6gb of ram
again, depends on the specific PSU the two CM 500W units I can remember off the top of my head are pretty bad

I can go a bit up on price and switch manufacturers, and if you could recommend anything that would be helpful. Thanks. Also, all the reviews seem good and they almost match my system spec's, but if you could find anything better that's fine.
so are you saying cm is lying to me if they say the silent pro is 700W
It's 700W, just not 700W on the rails that matter. [editline]18th December 2011[/editline] Speaking of power supplies, can anybody tell me how many Watts I get with my PSU on the 12V rails? I'm having trouble figuring it out due to how it's shown on the side of my PSU.
so are you saying cm is lying to me if they say the silent pro is 700W
technically no, it'll output 700W but only 600W on 12V which is what the high power consumption parts of a modern system (CPU, GPU) use and the TX650V2 will output more 12V it's more marketing BS than lying [editline]18th December 2011[/editline]
It's 700W, just not 700W on the rails that matter. Wow that's awesome considering I got it for $40 on sale. Do you think it would be able to run HD 6970s in CrossfireX when running a 2500K?
not sure why the 3.3V and 5V total is in a box inside the 12V total
Yah that's what confused me. I've never seen them layed out like that on the side of a PSU before.
nevermind, this is clearer http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=24
Note how the "680W" for the combined maximum 12V rating notches into the combined maximum rating for the 3.3V and 5V rails. This is because the 12V rails alone are capable of putting out 680W, but any load that is on the 3.3V and 5V load will need a part of that.
it should be able to power that, but it's old OCZ so you never know
Can anyone recommend me a laptop that is at least 15 inches, high performance for gaming, movies, whatever, and is under 1000$? I also need microsoft office with word and powerpoint.
pushing it
Well if I start getting shutdowns, crashes etc I'll either pick up an FSP Group Booster X5(if they still exist) or I'll just grab a good 850W PSU.

-snip, spoiler tagged if i want to bring my post back up- [sp]Does this work as a wireless repeater? If so, does it need to be hooked up to your router permanently or only when you set it up? Does it only work with specific models of routers? And last but not least, can you host a game server through a wireless repeater, as it would have to go through two devices instead of just the router? These questions need to be answered immediately, as this will be a Christmas present.[/sp]
anyone else have a coil whine in a GTX 5xx? it's the most godawful noise ever
I've been having some serious issues with Skype recently... Whenever I'm reciving a call or sending a call[even if I'm doing text] it's been crashing. I've done the following - Reinstalled Skype - Checked for Compat Mode[not on] - Did all window updates/driver updates[still not working] I'm very confused on whats the next step I should be taking... It's not allowing anything, and crashes within 2 seconds into calls/text chats.
whenever I attempt to pack/crypt a file i get this how can I fix this
reposting, I really need some help also, this is with ANY crypter/packer program on ANY file/exe
Yes as they're both using the same connection, one is just wired while the other is not, although there should be a way to throttle your wireless connection via your router or I believe there's software for it if you can't.
I figured that the router would crimp the speed he was getting.
does anyone know where I can get a brand new G5v2 for a reasonable price other than ebay
does the stock intel cooler for the 2500k come with a thermal PAD or thermal PASTE pre-applied? i remember it looking shiny and gooey as if a machine extruded paste onto it at the factory but i'm not sure

On the laptop go to network settings, adaptor settings. Control click the 2 Adaptors, so the Ethernet NIC and the Wireless NIC and right click one and hit "Bridge Connections". The rest is set up on the routers.
