Probably not, I haven't seen any games in the development pipeline that do so except for Minecraft. Even then though the 3D effect works fine without the need for a special screen. If any game comes out with 3D effects you really don't need a special screen do it. Unless its specified that the 3D effect NEEDS a 3D capable screen then its both retarded and necessary.
uh http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-main.html
Are these temps too hot for my GPUs? It's two GPUs in one card.
Does anyone know how to set an html file as a home page on chrome? I want to use a start page I edited but I can only open it manually, not have it open up whenever I open a new tab.
chrome://settings/browser "Open this page:" [editline]18th May 2011[/editline] Well the link doesn't work, so go into the options and change it. [editline]18th May 2011[/editline] or just copy and paste it into browser
My TV just started "chirping" at me when its on... no picture. Any Idea's?
I was looking at the specs of the GeForce GTX 470 and saw that the core clock was only 607, which is significantly lower than other GPUs at that price range. I was previously under the impression that the core clock was a factor that determined how good a GPU was. In this case, is there another feature that the 470 has that somehow compensates for the low clock? Sorry, I'm not familiar with GPUs.
I have an MSDNAA account what's physically stopping me from giving a friend a copy of windows 7 from msdnaa? when my account closes will my friend's windows 7 close with it?

Even after your account closes.
I'm looking for a decent laptop around 700-800ish. Rigt now I'm looking at this http://www.samsung.com/us/computer/laptops/NP-QX410-S02US Found it for $780. I want to be able to play some games decently on my laptop. Things like HoN, WoW, Source games.
Thinking about installing ubuntu as my main OS, and trying to get my dad to use it aswell, any recommendations on using liux? (programs, configurations etc..?)
Quick, i need an hamachi like program, since they derailed pretty much. eh got it working
Thinking about installing ubuntu as my main OS, and trying to get my dad to use it aswell, any recommendations on using liux? (programs, configurations etc..?)
What do you want with ubuntu that windows 7 can't do? By all means try it, but run it in a virtual machine first, and then you can set up dual boot (you are asked to choose which OS you want to boot when you turn your pc on). If you've already bought it, there's little reason to replace windows 7.
Other than Best Buy GeekSquad, where can I look for entrylevel IT jobs not requiring a degree (I'm currently enrolled in college)
Im going to get a 3d monitor for a little over the price of 2d one so that if I ever decide that I want to use 3d all i have to do is buy glasses instead of buying a new 3d monitor and glasses. Is this a good idea / are 3d monitors just as good as 2d ones when it comes to displaying 2d content? This is the monitor I plan on getting http://www.scan.co.uk/products/23-lg-w2363d-full-hd-3d-black-dvi-hdmi-1920x1080-10001-400cd-m2-5ms
Is this computer good [editline]19th May 2011[/editline] because it have water in it, and water is cold always, so you don't need to buy air makers
Its a kettle! [sp] We have know way of knowing if a computer is good based solely on the fact that it has water in it and looks purty[/sp]
Its a kettle! [sp] We have know way of knowing if a computer is good based solely on the fact that it has water in it and looks purty[/sp]
Well the water is cool, and air makers have a very high value, and water is infinite and free so the computer is good
Other than Best Buy GeekSquad, where can I look for entrylevel IT jobs not requiring a degree (I'm currently enrolled in college)
You'll just have to ask local mom and pop computer stores. Good luck.

And yes that laptop should be good enough. I bought a laptop four years ago for twice the price. Specs are: intel centrino duo, 2gb, geforce 8400m gt. I could play CSS with full settings, Company of Heroes on low settings (but full res), TF2 on medium settings (low res), L4d2 medium settings (low res), HL2 full settings, DODS full settings, GMOD full settings, LoL full settings. You get the point, if you need me to list more games just ask (and I played all mentioned games with 30+ fps no AA). Your laptop's cpu, gpu, and ram are all literally twice better than mine. I'm kind of jealous, actually. My laptop is like a portable hair dryer and only lasts half an hour without charging, even in low-power state and when I'm typing out a paper. Yours however claims to last 7 hours. I'd like to repeat my question too:
I was looking at the specs of the GeForce GTX 470 and saw that the core clock was only 607, which is significantly lower than other GPUs at that price range. I have the Logitech G11 keyboard that comes with 18 extra "G" keys that you can bind through Logitechs software. However the keyboard does not remember any key bindings if you exit the program. Is there any way to permanently bind the G keys? I'd rather not have any extra stuff running in the background. Apparently there is a way for the G13/G15 found here. Anything similiar available for the G11?
Did Microsoft release any official Windows 7 ISOs? I'm planning on buying this SSD http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=51321&promoid=1324 but I don't have my Windows 7 disc, only my serial.
So I'm going to this LAN party tomorrow and I haven't gone to one with my new build it's rather heavy at 30 pounds. Also I have a Hyper 212+ on it (so should I worry about causing stress on the mobo as I transport it?). It's only like 10 miles away, but anything I should know for transporting it? Also I seem to remember some special method for transporting an LCD, can anyone remind me what that was? This would have gone in the Apple section if they had a thread like this :colbert: anyway, is DFU mode removed in iOS 4.3.3?
A "Windows did not pass genuine validation" and a "You may be a victim of software counterfeiting" boxes showed up. What do i do? Yes i bought windows 7
A "Windows did not pass genuine validation" and a "You may be a victim of software counterfeiting" boxes showed up. What do i do? Yes i bought windows 7
Did you buy it from an actual place or did you buy it from some dude in a trenchcoat on the corner of 5th and Wall?

My question is: should I make an ext3 partition or make an unformatted partition so that the ubuntu installer formats it as it needs?
My computer keeps locking up do to my onboard sound. Updated the drivers to the latest but they haven't been updated in months possibly years. Do you guys think buying a decent soundcard will fix it? I hate to get a soundcard and then it turns out that the mobos onboard device is still used in a way that causes my computer to continue to lockup.

Also, try disabling it in the BIOS if you can, to see if the problem goes away, then buy a $10-$20 soundcard or a Xonar DG

In the bottom you should find something about reactivating Windows 7 (I guess you installed it one too many times), just call the number and do what the voice says, and you should be running good.
