I think it works that way, at least.
Never defrag a SSD then or only do it rarely?
the reason for defragging is to move files closer to the read/write header on the hard drive's platter to reduce seek times
SSDs don't have seek times so they don't need defragged and it uses up read/write cycles for no reason
Yep, this is getting annoying.
My mouse drivers are screwing up whenever I play games and use an abnormal mouse button, and go to default settings until I exit the game. I've tried uninstalling them and everything, but it isn't working. Mouse 4, Mouse 5, and changing the DPI all do this. I have a Logitech G5 by the way.

Now the drivers aren't working at all and are default again and they won't turn back on.
And I can't uninstall the current ones or install new ones.
What's the best graphics card my brother can get for $60-70? and that is a pretty solid number that he won't want to flex much on. He already doesn't want to go over $60. He is currently using my old geforce 8600gts 512mb. He runs a 1080p monitor. I feel like anything will be a decent upgrade for him at this point.
Driver sweeper can't even detect them

It's not great (or good even), but it's the best you can do for that budget.

Explain to your brother that 70 bucks won't get you a card worth gaming on unless he's running games from a couple years ago.
Well he doesn't mind running low settings, he just wants to play them. And the 5670 is what i was thinking already, thank you!
hory shit, the newest version of chromeos added an awesome way of click and drag support; you can click on an icon, hold that finger down, then use another finger to move it around.

Do you have to hold the first finger in place, or do you move both fingers? If you have to hold the first in place i would prefer the usual double tap and drag.

You have to hold the first in place. Yeah, I'd mostly use it for selecting large blocks of text, but I always forget about it.
Im tired of another guy here who always uses his PS3 for everything, now hes downloading a firmware update making it impossible for me to be on the net.
(How are you on the net then hurr durr :ninja:, I use my Android phone for tethering). How can I get his MAC address so I can block his ass? (via a PC)
Pretty sure you can get the MAC addresses of everyone on the LAN with Cain & Abel.

Yup...

Also, CommView does the same thing (I think) but I have no idea on how to find the right MAC address.
Auslogics Disk Defrag or Defraggler?
Which is the better all-rounder?

That's a false alarm. Since it can be used to infect and mess around with a network, it gets detected.
Metasploit Framework gets flagged as a virus because it has some backdoor exploits in it.
Is there any way to make my music on firefox play out of my 5.1 but then my game sounds play through my headset?
Considering to buy GTA IV, i got PC and PS3, wich one is best to play it on?
3/5 times on startup my PC will refuse to run any programs, I would click the app and it would seem like it is starting up/loading (icon flashes on win7 taskbar then goes) but the program never appears. It is how ever appearing on my task manager:

If those programs were actually running the system would probably overload.
Any ideas to what is causing this? I'm gonna be reformatting soon anyway just I thought I could get a reason to why this is happening incase I encounter it in the future.
it's a virus

not joking here - starting safe mode then running mbam fixed this exact problem for me, try that
Considering to buy GTA IV, i got PC and PS3, wich one is best to play it on?
What are your specs? If it's lower end, ps3. If Higher end, then PC. I have it for both so I can answer questions.
GTA IV is pretty much not optimized at all for PC's, if you've spent less than $1k on your rig you should probably just go PS3
I decided on Auslogics, as there seemed to be more favorable reviews for it.
However, I have a new question:
I have a Gateway Laptop with both Ubuntu 11.04 and Vista on it's own partition on one drive. I want to do a system restore of Vista to factory settings, and I can't seem to do it, presumably because of the partition. I don't have any restore discs, or in fact any blank discs lying around.. Is there a way to do this from within the OS itself?

Not sure what you're talking about with the whole $1k PC thing or where you even get that idea. My friend has a Dell Studio XPS desktop with an Athlon II x2 (2.8ghz I believe), 3gb DDR3 1066mhz, and an ATI 5670 and runs the game fine on medium high which were her default settings. BUT she plays at 1366x768 so that may be why.
Yeah it's better on PC no matter what, a 400$ PC will be able to play it at higher graphics better than a console.

Safari on Windows isn't very good (it's good on OSX). Go Chrome.

Chrome is just Safari with better UI and Javascript engine. They both use webkit.
Looking to buy a prebuilt computer and I want to know how the AMD Radeon HD 6450 is. Gaming is important for this computer and I want to make sure I get a good graphics card.
