driversweeper is completely overkill... just uninstall the drivers like you would any other program and install the new ones [editline]25th December 2011[/editline] but to answer your question, yeah it'll work on win7
Is every one of your posts a joke?
yes? why would you think otherwise.
As it's Christmas, I've come into a little bit more money. Whats the best graphics card I can buy for £100? Pushing £110. Thanks

To buy a new graphics card, I'll need a new power supply, and for a new power supply, I'll need a larger case. 1. What is a good 600w power supply for pretty cheap? 2. What is a good case to buy and how difficult is it to transfer everything from my current tiny one to the other?
620w Neo Eco is affordable. Case depends on budget and preference.
When installing a new cpu/motherboard is it possible to uninstall the previous motherboard drivers (lan, chipset, etc) with driversweeper, then take out the old motherboard and put in the new one without having to reinstall windows?

Wooo! found in my sock (stocking) some RAM for my laptop!
Still lookin for a gtx 570 for 330 ish. Also, should I wait till I get my graphics card or should I use my 8800gt for the time being while I decide what one to order? Pretty much got the last of my parts these few days and haven't put it all together yet.

I switched from LGA 775 EP45-UD3P and E5300 and 6GB of ram to, LGA 1155 ASRock P67-Extreme6, i5-2500k, and 16GB of ram. Though I do have the retail version of Windows 7, School MSDN accounts are great. I didn't even have to uninstall drivers first, just get ethernet drivers installed and your pretty much set.
Really is pot luck though. Like I said earlier, I swapped out JUST the motherboard and the Retail windows 7 would just blue screen on startup, not even a repair, or safemode, would allow it to be usable. I think this is even before the "Driver" stage as such. I'm just guessing but maybe windows, at install time, configures some really low level parts for that particular board that just won't work if the board is too different? I have a feeling it has to do with going to a completely different chipset (Via, to nForce), 4RT1LL3RY went from an Intel P45 to an Intel P67.
Anything I should do before transplanting the memory? I've got a metal table I'm going to operate on, but do I touch one of the legs first to kill static or something?
i feel dirty, but what was the link for thouse alyx nude mods? :quagmire:
When I try to install certain Steam games, it just pauses the update when it's almost done, then it gives me this error.
I kind of want to clean up my physical desk top some, I have my entire 5.1 surround sound system on it. Basically, I don't mind if the front L/R and center speakers are on it. But what the fuck do I do with the rear L/R speakers? It's 10 feet to the closest rear wall..
Transplanted my memory went without a hitch. How do I run memtest86 from the .ISO? I burned it on a cd, but I don't know what to do now.

You don't put rear surround speakers directly behind you anyway, here's the optimal positioning:

But on my newly built pc it worked fine.
Can I clean install windows 7 in a brand new laptop? Because I heard that they are OEM locked or something like that

Dang I really pissed you off enough to make you actually go through my history and quote some post a month ago, megathreads arent allowed in the news section because I actually read the rules. You should know this as you have been here for a year.

Well i got turtle beach headphones, and why is there a little bit of white noise in the background and how do I disable it so I cant hear my self (it plays back my mic audio barley through my headset)
Since the GC thread is a load of crap, is it worth it to get the 448C 560Ti for the extra £?
Well i got turtle beach headphones, and why is there a little bit of white noise in the background and how do I disable it so I cant hear my self (it plays back my mic audio barley through my headset)
So, Turtle Beaches are shitty, Did you wish for them for christmas or did they just give them to you? Because it was a pretty bad choice. White noise is from the shitty mic it has. You can disable the thing that you hear yourself from your drivers. If you have Realtek ones, just go to the Microphone tab and slide the playback slider to 0.
Since the GC thread is a load of crap, is it worth it to get the 448C 560Ti for the extra £?
oh darn you had to actually use the correct thread! wow what a bummer to answer your question: I wasn't even aware there were different models of 560 TI? http://hothardware.com/Reviews/NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-560-Ti-448Core-GPU-Review/?page=6 apparently it's quite a decent boost over it.
