the 448s are relatively new, it's just Nvidia using up their stock chips that aren't good enough to be 570s.
Well i got turtle beach headphones1, and why is there a little bit of white noise in the background2 and how do I disable it so I cant hear my self 3(it plays back my mic audio barley through my headset)
1: I'm sorry for your loss.
2: What turtle beaches? If they work on PS3 and Xbox 360, unplug the 360 mic cable(the tiny one that goes from the mix-amp on the cable to the controller.) and flip it to PS3 mode. That's what I had to do to my Tritton's.
3: You don't. That's a feature built into all Turtle Beaches. It's shitty and pointless and they should fucking feel horrible for including it.
Really is pot luck though. Like I said earlier, I swapped out JUST the motherboard and the Retail windows 7 would just blue screen on startup, not even a repair, or safemode, would allow it to be usable.
I think this is even before the "Driver" stage as such. I'm just guessing but maybe windows, at install time, configures some really low level parts for that particular board that just won't work if the board is too different?
I have a feeling it has to do with going to a completely different chipset (Via, to nForce), 4RT1LL3RY went from an Intel P45 to an Intel P67.
Well I would be doing a change from a AMD setup to a i7/whatever intel motherboard so I could hit some issues, its no biggy reinstalling windows 7 just I have like 400-500gb of data to transfer back onto the hard drive :v:

I went from AMD to intel so I don't think that's one of the issues.
What the hell is the difference between the Wacom Bamboo Connect and the Wacom Bamboo Capture?
Is the thermal paste that comes on the bottom of an intel heatsink fine, or should I buy my own? I'm sure it'd last a year or so, but I was wondering if it's recommended to go out and buy some more.
yes it's fine, even if you want to overclock
Got a $50 newegg gift card along with some cash for christmas. Don't know what to get.
I bought a Steelseries Sensei (call it ricey, I don't care) the other day and that's pretty much all I've wanted for the past couple of months. I don't actually need it (or anything else, really).
I suppose I should just wait until something on my rig breaks, but it's almost too tempting to just blow it on something I don't really need.
Transplanted my memory went without a hitch. How do I run memtest86 from the .ISO? I burned it on a cd, but I don't know what to do now.
When your PC first starts up, before/while it POSTS (before booting into your OS), it should tell you at the bottom of the screen what button to press for a boot menu or something along those lines. Press that button (still, before your OS boots) and select your disc drive to boot from.
Gift cards are so redundant. Gahhh, the whole idea just numbs my brain.

It takes the thoughtfulness out of it, I know. Honestly, I was more excited about the socks and slippers I got than the cash. Cash is still nice though.

No no. Money is cool but why convert perfectly good money into limiting credits for only one store. Just why.

Because that's what I asked for lol. I got cash and a visa gift card as well. It's not like I never buy anything from newegg, I just don't know what to get right now. I think I'll wait.
Since the GC thread is a load of crap, is it worth it to get the 448C 560Ti for the extra £?
They are new. They are limited edition. And they are going fast.
My friend bought one recently which made me really interested in them. I was about to nab the classified but since the price went up 20 I'm just gonna go for a 570 as it is not that much more.
Performance is of course between a 560 and 570. Think of a 560 on 'roids. It has the ability to triple SLI and overclocking allows it to outperform the 570 by a few frames.
Neat thing about the classified edition is that it is said to be built around the 580 PCB.

So ye. Got all my parts together tonight. Just waiting on the 570.
I installed windows pro since I couldn't find my ultimate disc. Not sure if this matters with the problem that I'm having but all the icons in my task bar become the blank one..
Anyone know of a fix?
Guys is there any way around DirectX error code 2 for Just Cause 2? My gpus are 2 7900GTXs and I cant get directx9 on them. I was planning to buy a 570 off newegg this week but I might just check best buy for a good deal tomorrow...

Never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever EVER but a GPU from Best Buy. Just buy the 570.
What are the rest of your specs?
Is the 10 dollars justified with these 2 cards?

They are both superclocked 570's. From what I can tell the more expensive one doesn't have a displayport and has a different cooler as well as a different type of lifetime warranty.
Should I just go for the one that is 320?
The more expensive one has the same clocks and shit, and 2xDVI and 1xMiniHMDI
The cheaper one has a displayport and a full size(?) HDMI
The cheaper one looks better
Hey guys, comodo has a big history of false positives for me. Is anyone having a false positive of trojan win32 downloader agent or am I in a pickle?
wat
I would say it is a virus lol. From where did you get it or what the hell.

We're going to need more context than that.
Okay, my brother's computer is ridiculously slow. What is the best upgrade I can give him for under $150? He wants to be able to play some older, yet relatively demanding titles such as GMOD / TES: Oblivion. Any tips? I just put my old HD4850 in this, but it's running on a celeron D.. -_-
I was thinking about bumping it to 4GB of RAM, really cheap Mobo, and a cheaper processor.
My dads mobo was fried a while back, but I wasn't sure if it was almost definite that his CPU was fried too. Any way to tell without first buying a new mobo?

hey guys.,
my desktop is getting a little bit dated in terms of graphics card. right now it's running an HD 4850 graphis card and a AMD 955 quad core processor. I'm not looking to upgrade graphics at the moment, but im just curious, what would a good upgrade be and how much would it cost?
Well, it's been acting up a bit. For the past 2 or 3 days, random pop-ups about contained attacks came up. A year back, I had a bit of a problem with the bifrose virus, and it sort of just disappeared. I was thinking that maybe it was a false positive as well. Comodo has called regular processes from windows viruses before but those were reported and corrected in the first day, this one wasn't (as far as I know).
Also, secundary question. A while back, my task manager decided to go fuck all and not appear. Ctrl + alt + delete and right-click/select on the processes bar ends up turning up nothing. I can delete processes via comodo but it would still be a good tool to have, anyone have any idea? I searched around on google but I didn't find a solution.

reinstall.
it seems, as you have some kind of dormant virus, that has disabled your task manager
Okay guys, I bought a XFX Radeon HD 6950.I put it in all went well until I realised that It requires Two six pins to power it.My Power supply only has one six pin and is a 650 W.So basically I need you to recommend me a new Power supply that has two six pins and a good amount of wattage, also for whatever reason my friend says I need an 800 W with two six pins.
So please recommend me a new Power supply.
Is SAMSUNG MONITOR 21,5" S22A300B a good monitor?

I have 2 ATI Radeon HD 5770 Graphics Cards by XFX. I have 2 because I wanted to have a 3 monitor setup with Eyefinity. I got everything for them from a Crossfire X Cable to a Displayport Adapter to try and get it to work, but Catalyst always detected the third monitor but wouldn't let me use it so I just assumed that it was incompatible and stuck with the partially working extended desktop for the 3 monitors. Well Today, after a Drivers update and a restart, Catalyst refuses to agnolige any of the monitors connected to my second card, the Device manager sees both cards and only one monitor. So Now I need 2 new cards that will support Eyefinity 3 Dell 1680x1050 monitors on DVI. I also have 1 dvi to hdmi port and 1 dvi to displayport. My Budget is around 325$ for both cards as one price. What 2 cards should I get?

step 1: newegg.com
step 2: search power supplies
step 3: order by best rating
step 4: choose one of the first 3 within your budget that fit your requirements
