i know nothing about video cards but isn't a GeForce 9100 better than 7800?
Minimum: 256 MB of on-board RAM and Shader model 3.0 or better support (ATI Radeon X1800 or better, NVIDIA GeForce 7800 or better, Intel 4100 Integrated Graphics or better).
You Have: GeForce 9100
Required You Have
Video RAM 256 MB 2.9 GB
Pixel Shader version 3.0 4.0
Vertex Shader version 3.0 4.0
systemrequirementslab is not a very reliable source to conclude that you cannot run the game. Have you tried the game itself?
no i haven't bought it, its an MMO so i don't wanna invest the initial cash if i can't run it...
Why is it that you can hear a computer when it's under stress? What physically makes the noise?
Fans, typically the GPU/CPU/Power supply fans increase in RPM and therefore become louder under load to help keep the component's temperatures down.
Sometimes some of the noise can be coil whine/capacitors or the HDD spindle but it's uncommon for them to be louder than the fans.
Why is it that you can hear a computer when it's under stress? What physically makes the noise?
Depending on the construction of whatever is making the noise, it's the capacitors that do that.
It's easy to fix AFAIK. It did it on my old GPU, but I just ignored it because it only did that when the FPS was like 2000~~
I just checked my SSD on WinDirStat because it said that I had 28GBs of Data unaccounted for where I couldn't see them. I checked and I have a 16GB pagefile.sys and 12GB hiberfil.sys. Is there a way that I can A: move this to my 1TB drive or B: Shrink/Disable them? I'm not sure why the page file is even enabled, I thought Win7 disabled it on SSDs by default.
44% of the used space on my drive is being taken up by these two files. Also, yes I do have 16GB of RAM, so the pagefile isn't obscenely high for no reason.
Long story but I managed to clone the entire of my SATA boot hard drive to an IDE hard drive with Partition Wizard 7. I set the IDE jumper to primary. My BIOS recognizes the drive and all but it won't boot the operating system on it (Windows Vista 64-bit). My disk drive runs on an IDE interface but I only have 1 IDE connecter, I can't run both on the same connector because the IDE hard drive won't be detected so I can't do a repair install. Any ideas?

Should I disable it entirely or set it to a smaller size?
Thanks a ton already, that helped a lot

you shouldn't have a pagefile on a SSD.
[editline]29th December 2011[/editline]
hibernate is p much up to you, but I think it shouldn't be on the SSD as well, put it on your HDD if you want one.

Last question, Is is safe to delete the file now?
It should be removed when you restart your computer.
Hey there, I recently upgraded from three GTX 260 896MB's to two GTX 560 Ti 1GB's, and I was wondering if it was possible to put in a single 260 as a PhysX engine with my PSU, a Be Quiet 1000W PSU

waste of time, it will most likely just bottleneck

hey guys is there something wrong with my computer
[sp]joking ofc[/sp]
looks like one of your hard drives got a nice little campfire started
i can smell the marshmallows and platters roasting now
[sp]obviously not a real reading[/sp]

I don't really care about them at all. I don't care about a lot of things in life.
Now that I have had to replace my 570 order, do I get a 570 or an i5 2500k and a new mobo :suicide:
Current specs
9800GT
PII X4 970
12GB RAM
2x Spinpoint F3
Every time i see people calling the Phenom IIs PII i think old school pentiums :v:
I need to know if this is a good build. The less money I have to spend the better. I just want good looking games and performance and also it will be used for video editing.
Do I have everything I need for a working system here? Do I need anything else? Are the fans included in the case okay? Is thermal paste included with the mobo or do I need that? First time builder here so sorry if it's stupid questions.

looks fine but you should go with an EVGA 560 and the ASRock extreme3 gen3
[editline]29th December 2011[/editline]
everything is included, also you might want a hyper 212

My other craptop has a P3.

What are they and why? Cheaper?
[editline]30th December 2011[/editline]
Also is this memory better than the one in the picture? Just this one is in stock and the other one is ordered only on demand, and last time they never did order it.
http://www.dabs.ie/products/corsair-memory-8gb--2-x-4gb--ddr3-1333mhz-dimm-240-pin-cl9-7JGM.html
what do you mean what are they, the EVGA 560 is a 560 Ti and the ASRock is a motherboard
much better value, the EVGA has a lifetime warranty, and the hyper 212+ is a CPU cooler
all memory is the same shit unless you get lower CAS timings, I would get 1600 MHz RAM though
So the EVGA and the Gainward cards are the same except the EVGA is cheaper and has lifetime warranty? I think I will get that instead. The only thing is with the ASRock, it is around 40 euro dearer. Could I just stick with the Gigabyte mobo? Will that still be fine?
[editline]30th December 2011[/editline]
This is the mobo I was going to get
http://www.dabs.ie/products/gigabyte-z68x-ud3p-s1155-intel-z68-express-ddr3-atx--usb-3-0--7HCW.html
by dearer I assume you mean more expensive, so yeah the Gigabyte mobo is fine, it's just that it's way cheaper than anything else in the US so I figured it would reflect elsewhere
It looks like I'll finally be building my PC sometime towards the end of next month after more than a year and a half of waiting (Possibly a bit longer, if my parents don't have enough money in their PayPal account at the time.)
Here is the list of the parts I'm planning on getting. (I'm planning on getting a 7970 for the GPU)
Do you guys think this will be a good build?
by dearer I assume you mean more expensive, so yeah the Gigabyte mobo is fine, it's just that it's way cheaper than anything else in the US so I figured it would reflect elsewhere
Yeah more expensive. This is the only Extreme3 that is on the site and it's more expensive.
http://www.dabs.ie/products/asrock-x58-extreme3-s1366-intel-x58-ddr3-atx-7LCP.html?q=extreme3&src=16
So other than that, I should just change to the EVGA card? Same performance as the Gainward one and all? And everything is else is fine yeah?
Dang I really pissed you off enough to make you actually go through my history and quote some post a month ago, megathreads arent allowed in the news section because I actually read the rules. You should know this as you have been here for a year.
True, but you failed to notice the big green name.
