I've got a 560Ti, and it has 2 6-pin PSU connection slots. My PSU came with a 6-pin PCI cable and a 6+2 PCI cable. I'm fucking shit at this, and googling it hasn't been much of a help. Can I use the two 6-pins to connect to the GPU, and forget about the extra 2 on the side?

Does anyone know of a good wireless router? Max price at $100?
Does anyone know of a good wireless router? Max price at $100?
There's some Rosewell router that can run OpenWRT, I think it's like 30USD. If you can't find that, there's always the Linksys WRT54GL.
What media players are the best?
There's no real "best" media player. Personally I use foobar2000 primarily because it's lightweight yet you can customize the living shit out of it. I also use Spotify on the odd occasion. Some are content with WMP. Which is fine - it might not be an amazing media player but it comes prepacked with Windows so it balances out.
There's no real "best" media player. Like lavacano I use foobar2000 because it's lightweight and the customizability of it is insane.

Hey, another question. I've got this RAM and this Motherboard, and I'm trying to install the two RAM sticks. Problem is, the clamps on the sides of the slots don't automatically snap back in nor do they snap back in manually, I'm wondering if this is a problem with compatibility or if it's even a problem at all.
motherboard model or prebuilt model number - also that's a really bad price for that imo.
optiplex gx280 Is that what you're looking for?

(other than heatsinks) Just make sure nothing's blocking the way and that they're in the slot properly. [editline]30th December 2011[/editline]
optiplex gx280 Is that what you're looking for?
yeah I'll help you in a moment [editline]30th December 2011[/editline]
how much should i put into RAM? and how much ram should i have?
$20-$60 4-16GB. I'd suggest $30 and 8GB RAM currently due to cheap prices. [editline]30th December 2011[/editline] but you really don't need more than 4GB. [editline]30th December 2011[/editline]
optiplex gx280 Is that what you're looking for?
ok, http://www.dell.com/html/us/products/optiplex/sx280.html which one of these is it?
It's the GX280 SD.
optiplex gx280 Is that what you're looking for?
Throw it away.
Throw it away.
it still works though use it as a music player server or something
It's the GX280 SD.
Open it and check if it's PCI-E or AGP, apparently it comes with both, so that didn't help. :v:
I helped my cousin build a computer the other day and his dad bought him a Geforce GT 520, and I had a AMD 5750 so I told him the 5750 would be a better card, am I right, or would the GT 520 1gb be better?
Open it and check if it's PCI-E or AGP, apparently it comes with both, so that didn't help. :v:
Alright, before I open it up, what exactly am I looking for? And I'm quite certain it's PCI-E
Throw it away.
Hahahaha. We just use it to surf the web.
5750 most likely, let me check. yeah 5750 is way better
Thanks, can't wait to rub it into the nose of a person who has been building computers for 30 years.
Silly me. I almost opened it up without shutting it down.
I helped my cousin build a computer the other day and his dad bought him a Geforce GT 520, and I had a AMD 5750 so I told him the 5750 would be a better card, am I right, or would the GT 520 1gb be better?
The 5750 would run circles around the GT 520 in its sleep.
I don't have the worlds best cooling on my system but when checking my computer idle temps the North Brigde runs significantly hotter than the other components, it runs at around 65 degrees compared to my CPU which runs at ~45 degrees. When gaming it goes above 70 degrees, don't remember exactly but not above 80 at least. Should it really run that hot?
I'm going to need some more help. I can't seem to locate it.
Thanks, can't wait to rub it into the nose of a person who has been building computers for 30 years.
he'll probably defend himself, say you don't know what you're talking about, and reference its 1GB vRAM [editline]30th December 2011[/editline]
I'm going to need some more help. [t]http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/9927/s1010002t.jpg[/t] I hope that's what we're looking for. It seems like it's PCI-E. I can snap another picture if it's too dark.

I can snap another picture if it's too dark.
That's fine, looks PCI-E to me, too. Do you have to buy this on Best Buy? (gift card or something?) Get http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102934 if you can, its a little more but it's worth the extra $10 [editline]30th December 2011[/editline] time for me to ask a question! Good place to order prescription glasses online? I'd pay a little more if it'd make it faster. I'm a ShopRunner and Amazon Prime subscriber if that matters.
