Seems like the HAF 912 is good choice so far, I'll more into reviews for that case before making a final decision. And what's the different be between the 690 II Basic and Advanced?
the advanced has a HDD dock on the top, 4 toolless 5.25" bay clips instead of 2, two 140mm fans plus a 120mm fan (the basic has 2 120mm fans), and the graphics card clip thing
the main advantage is the fans, I guess for $10 it's worth it, the price difference is smaller than I remember
lol, defragmenting
are we in the mid 00's here or what?
fyi, defragmenting doesn't do much at all with newer drives (1tb+, probably less). The data's packed in so tight, the part of the drive that reads the data doesn't have to move as far to get to the next part of it as older, smaller, drives.

I don't know. I made a thread about it months ago and people said that I should defrag.

Which tier should I get? One or two? And is FiOS worth it? (I'm in washington state, pic from frontier.com.)
I know I'm a bit late, here but FiOS is fucking awesome
What the fuck is going on with Defraggler. I just defragmented my computer like 3 times, but it keeps saying that it has 31% of fragmentation.
Windows 7, 64 bits. I just "formated" it.

Also, should I install the drivers?, this might sound very dumb, but the audio is ok and I can play games, I don't know if I need them.
Ok what the fuck, now It's 41%.
Too lazy to quote, is there any splitscreen on GTA:IV? If, im going PS3.
Oh and by the way;
8 gB RAM
Some kind of laptop GeForce, runs Crysis like a charm.
Two i7's
Windoze 7
Runs games like Hl2, Crysis and Unreal tournament like a charm.
I think it is called Soni Vaio something, seems pretty highend and suits my needs.
Guys, what's a good video converter?

What are you trying to convert to and from?
I like handbrake, it isn't this fastest, but it's easy to use.
I want to convert DivX into MPEG-2 for my new TV since I lack a WiFi dongle for it.

You don't have two i7's
But those specs will be great for GTA4
And there is no splitscreen on any system for GTA4. Get it for PC
Do all monitors come with their necessary cables? (dvi-d or Hdmi etc)

I've never unboxed one that didn't.
can p2p traffic cause problems for a small network? I remember my brother used to tell me that I shouldn't torrent because sometimes our router couldn't handle the traffic and we would have to restart the router.
Quick question.
I am gonna get 2 more 24" screens soon so I can go triple-monitor eyefinity and my question is that how much does 2 extra screens take away on performance on the GPU in games?
Rumors are Battlefield 3 will have a 6850 as reccomended and I'm planning on buying a 6950 with 2GB Vram.
How powerfull will a 6950 2GB with 3 monitors(5760x1080)Eyefinity be compared to that recommended 6850 with just one screen?
Also what would be the most reccomended GPU in a fair price to have on a 3-monitor setup playing some upcoming games like BF3?

When I've bought my monitors recently, they only came with VGA cables inside.

Some routers can't handle a high amount of connections.
P2P traffic generates quite a lot of connections, since you need at least 1 connection per peer that you're connecting to.
Fuck i think i did something wrong, device manager shows eight devices under cpu, and i thought i7 was a quadder.. Im clueless now, feel free to immortalise my stupidity in CIWTTKT :P

4 physical cores, 8 virtual cores.

In that case he should limit the amount of peers the program connects to at any one time.

My PC runs most games very slow, and I would like to know why. Specs:
Processor: AMD phenom 9550 quad-core processor 2.20 GHz

What is your GPU?
If you have a spare hard drive, run an OS off that and see if you've got significantly increased performance.

Nvidia Geforce GTS 450
And I don't have any other hard drives. I'm currently on Vista.

Update vista and drivers, run CC cleaner. Do you have any spare components, or know anyone who does?
You could systematically swap things out to determine if it's some kind of fault, or whatve.r
Ok, I know you all are going to laugh at me because of this but, I am unable to open the ports on my damn router. I have tried almost everything. Router is a Netgear WPN824v2
Im not really sure what im doing wrong. I have forward'd the ports in the proper place but they do not seem to be recognized as opened on the external scan.

Anyone know if the ASUS Xonar DG is any good?
I just got a pair Sennheiser 515's, and I thought I should pick up a headphone amp, and it's only $22.

It's lovely.
Some people have problems with
1. EAX crackles sometimes (you can turn it off)
2. TOSLINK out doesn't work for more than 2 channels for illiterates
Other than that, it's beautiful. Got mine for $14.
