If you were in WA I would've built it for free. How much is the one you posted?
Oh cool. That build is $713
You could get a x4 955, and a GTX 560 TI for that amount, or possibly a 460 and a i5 2500k. Your parents really won't let you build? Is there any small PC shops in the area?
No, they don't trust a 14 year old child. I'm a klutz. And afaik no
Eh, I broke my first PC when I was 13 and had to replace its motherboard. So what's the total budget for a prebuilt, and do you need a monitor with it?
Is there any FREE multiple taskbar programs for multi-monitor setups? (win7)
I don't think so really.
I just built a new PC and have 3 questions. 1. BIOS only recognizes 1066MHz of my 1600MHz Ram, how do i fix this, and ensure Windows 7 is using all 12 gig of RAM? 2. While my PC is booting and BIOS is showing messages, for a few seconds it says "No Virtual disc!" and straight after, "Physical disk: (My hard-drive here) this is okay, right? My RAM: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=186_538_914&products_id=16161 My HDD: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=210_344&products_id=13660 Also, if a buy The Orange Box on CD, will it install the exact same way steam downloads it? Meaning it creates the exact directories and puts the same files in the same place? Thanks in advance.

I believe The Orange Box contains a serial/key, register that with Steam and you can download The Orange Box to be certain it creates the same directories/files in the same place.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_56kyib-Ls @ 27:35 what are those called?? If your 1600MHz RAM is being recognized as 1066MHz, that means one of the sticks is 1066MHz.
They should be all the same, i bought all 3 sticks together: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=186_538_914&products_id=16161
ok so when I turn on my computer and log into my account it takes 5 minutes for the start menu to load and for the desktop to pop up after than it takes another 4 minutes to start up all the startup programs ( 2wire, steam, dropbox, comodo) but then the the start button and menu itself will freeze randomly and if I try to open my documents, or my computer folder I it will freeze for 10-15 minutes. and I constantly drop connection All that and windows Installer is borked it won't let me install anything. specs:
If your 1600MHz RAM is being recognized as 1066MHz, that means one of the sticks is 1066MHz.
Or he has bloomfield/Gulftown I7 as their memory controllers only support 1066Mhz DDR3 RAM without overclocking.
Here is my motherboard, it says it supports 1600MHz RAM: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=138_711_775&products_id=16144 Don't you have to configure BIOS to recognize high performance RAM sometimes?

But yea you need to overclock your memory controller to 1600Mhz frequerency in BIOS, should be under some title like "Memory speed multiplier" or something similar and change it so that your Memory runs at 1600Mhz and don't forget to set your timings manually.
i need a new laptop. my current one is a quite old Toshiba Portege tablet laptop. i'd like a new tablet laptop, for uni work and occasional drawing. what can anybody recommend as far as tablet laptops go? price range around a grand AUD hopefully i was considering getting this http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1013&products_id=16765 (remember prices are in aud)
I just set the "Dram frequency" from auto (which detects 1066MHz) to 1600MHz.
That should do the trick, but the timings might be off if timings are on Auto as they should be 9-9-9-24 @1600Mhz by default for your RAM modules.

Anyone knows where i can find some video material to use in a iMovie tutorial?
I'm thinking about building a new computer. Does anybody have any suggestions for things to change here? Should I be worried about the lack of a 'K' specification? I'm not very interested in overclocking.

That's the only benefit Switch the hard drive to a Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB, same price except it's better. 16GB of RAM is excessive, I have 8 and I nearly never exceed 4GB of usage Otherwise it looks alright

I'd get another brand of GPU, MSI with a twin frozer would be nice. Get a 2500 and a h board, or n a 2500k with a p67 (like you have), I wouldn't get a 2400 at a $1000 budget. Case doesn't seem that great for the price, but that's totally user dependent. For $1000 total, it's not a good build.
