I ordered this motherboard for my new computer, and while visiting another thread, some people said it wasn't a very good one, even though only a few of the reviews spoke of failures and other issues. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138179&Tpk=Biostar%20A770e3 should I cancel the order for this one and find another, wait and see if it works, or not worry about it at all? EDIT: no one can help?

Could it be because the PSU seems to lack the -5V wire (third last, right row)?
There's this backup and restore feature in Windows (at least in Vista) in Control Panel. It seems like a good feature, but how exactly does it store the backup when I back everything on my main HDD onto an external one? Does it create some kind of folder to put all the files in or does it create some kind of special backup file? Assuming that it doesn't wipe the other HDD.

Anyone know anything on the Biostar motherboard I posted a few posts up?
Anyone know anything on the Biostar motherboard I posted a few posts up?
It'll work fine, next time get ASRock if you're going low budget, though.
My VGA slot on my video card is blocked by the case so I can't plug anything into it. My mobo has one but it won't display anything. I wanna use the mobo VGA port as a secondary for my old monitor and keep my monitor is the DVI port on my video card. [editline]15th June 2011[/editline] How can I enable both?
Is it possible to convert vga/dvi to composite without one of those expensive converter boxes?

Are the Nvidia GTX 6xx series coming soon? Will it be by the end of this year, like with the GTX 5xx?

I haven't really been in this section for a while, what happened to the Guide to PC building thread that was stickied a few months back? If it still exists, can someone give me a link to it?
I've been wondering about this Z68 stuff and the SSD caching, is it better to do the caching or to just put the OS on there and do that usual stuff with it?
What does bottle necking mean? searched the whole thread and couldn't find out.
What does bottle necking mean? searched the whole thread and couldn't find out.
"limited" in simplest terms.
What does bottle necking mean? searched the whole thread and couldn't find out.
one component limits another based on how a game spreads its resources hindering framerate
one component limits another based on how a game spreads its resources hindering framerate
For example, if you have a fast CPU, a fast graphics card, but slow/few RAM, then the bottleneck would be your RAM. That is also the reason the Windows Experience Index thingy is based on the lowest score, and not, say, average.

Most often is is the video card.

Again, where is that PC building guide thread that was on facepunch a few months ago? EDIT: Oh for fuck's sake no one ever answers this question for me
Trying to install 7 for a friend, but the installer just hangs on the w7 background on the dvd, what do? nvm, just took a while
How much will my computer explode if I overclock my CPU to 4ghz? Apparently it can do that stable, but right now it idles at 46C, or 112F.
How much will my computer explode if I overclock my CPU to 4ghz? Apparently it can do that stable, but right now it idles at 46C, or 112F.
What CPU do you have, and do you have an aftermarket HSF?
I just put all my PC parts together, and everything is hooked up (I have a monitor, keyboard, and mouse hooked up to it) but 1) the monitor just says "no input" and 2) the power button won't turn off the computer. It turns it on fine, but not back off again. How do I fix this?
Is This a good graphics tablet?

I've been taking a look at getting two of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161349&cm_re=6870-_-14-161-349-_-Product for crossfire. Currently I have a 700W PSU, and this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130268 mobo. Will these cards be fine, would I need a more powerful PSU, or anything else?
