What is the best way to RIP my DVD movies and TV seasons to my PC/phone? I have a bunch of movies and The Simpsons DVDs I want to be backed up.
http://www.dvddecrypter.org.uk/
Just keep in mind that its use is of questionable legality in many countries (which is a bit BS in my opinion). It works great for most DVDs, though it is no longer in development so newer DVDs (with newer encryption) often don't work.
can someone link me to something/tell me how to manage the octopus i have inside my pc right now? :v:
Zip ties.

I need to know how I can password my PSP. I'm using 6.20 and I use the TN Homebrew Enabler.

Second result on Google, and I don't even own a PSP, nor fiddled around with it.

You realize that relates in no way to my question? How does linking something I already have and use, and stated so in the post, help me in any way? :raise:
Going to try installing a permanent homebrew patch so when I restart the HEN doesn't get wiped like it does if you use the enabler.
Well, it says
Added password control at startup (change password in ‘Security Settings’).
Is this a good fan speed controller? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811998055

Scythe's a good fan company, so I don't see why it wouldn't be.

Wasn't this what you were looking for? If it isn't, I'm sorry.

I've had that fan controller since about mid 2010 and never had any problems with it. Running 2 Ultra Kaze and 2 Cooler Master Sickleflow with it.

It's okay, but you see with the TN-E you have to start the PSP and then run the program to enable homebrew and the password, so if the program isn't ran every time the password doesn't even do anything, I tried it myself. :ohdear:
Sorry if I came across as mean! I got a permanent patch for the PRO CFW and now I can use a password plugin. :buddy:

Although finding a working password plugin is hard. :ohdear:
Alright I'm having a problem with some Samsung monitors that I've been trying to set up for two days as a second monitor. At first I was using a Samsung Syncmaster 714n, I think, and it would flicker as if the refresh rate was messed up. Then I switched it out for a bigger monitor which is a Syncmaster 914v.
Earlier, I corrected the refresh rate to 75 hertz and 32 bit color and it worked. It fixed the flicker and it was fine. But then I had to do a reboot because my keyboard stopped working properly, and when I restarted, my monitor started flickering again even though the settings were already at 75/32. I've messed with resolution, refresh rate, color and all that but none of it fixes it the second time around.
Anyone have any ideas as to why it would work once but not again after a reboot? This is a problem that's been frustrating me for two days now and I really just want to be able to enjoy having a second monitor without it constantly struggling to keep up. I don't know a whole lot about computers, so you can assume that I won't know anything specific.
Oh and my GPU is an ATI HD 5670 1gb GDDR5
Could somebody smart take a look at this please:

I am not good with computer :saddowns:
Looking for a easy to use and light(?) going anti-virus program.
I used to have nod32 but I decided to try something else.
I herd MSE is good. Should I try that or should I stay with nod?
Use MSE, It's good and lightweight.
I will give it a try. Thanks.
Would I need to do anything before putting a Phenom II 955 into a AM2+ mobo?
Also, does the boxed version of the processor have a heatsink with thermal paste?
I know nothing about your first question, but the boxed version of processors do come with thermal paste and heatsinks.
Also, would I need a new PSU for the Phenom II x4? I have a 300 watt one atm.

With the prices right now, you could get a rather nice Phenom II X4 build. Can you post your current specs? If you don't know them, download speccy and post a screenshot.

What is the rest of the specs? I wouldn't trust a 300W presumably no-name PSU with anything.

AMD Athlon dual core 6000+ (3.1Ghz), Nvidia 220gt, Asus M2N68-CM (AM2+), 300 Watt POWERMAN (with some asian scribbles on it so it's no good.) Also keep in mind that I will replace the powersupply anyway when I get a better videocard.
Can someone link me to a good beginners tutorial for overclocking a sandybridge cpu.

I would honestly not bother upgrading that. Get some money together for a new build, and make a thread in PC building.

You would be suprised:
-XFX Pro 450w: €40
-Phenom II X4 955 BE: €90
-Sapphire HD 6850: €135
Total: €265
These parts are all compatible for my pc. I do not have a high income, and these parts would make me future proof for quite a while on 1440x900.

If you're cool with it, go for it.
Anyone know why the latest Memtest86 (4.20) unzips into another .zip file labeled as ".iso"? I wasted a DVD because of this typo. Or am I just doing it wrong?

An ISO is an image file which you can burn to a disc with most CD/DVD burning programs. Most archiving programs can open it, though, which is probably why you thought it was another zip file.
