I ordered a Processor earlier today, but right before I bought it I was asked to be sure I knew it was OEM/retail, this isn't anything important right? Just doing a little build for myself.
Retail: usually sold to people like you and me, comes with cooler, stickers and that stuff. OEM: usually sold to companies like DELL, just comes with the CPU on its own, nothing else.

Seriously, why do you want your desk to vibrate? vibration is bad. [editline]25th June 2011[/editline] All you could do is use a bass booster equalizer
it's 75w, what did you expect?
That's more than my last one and my last one could shake my desk.
My sister needs a laptop for college. She will only be doing things like reports for school, internet browsing, and maybe music/video playing. Could anyone recommend a good laptop and/or what kinds of features it should have?

If your MB uses DDR2 memory and you have a 32-bit W7, can you use a graphics card that uses DDR3 memory and is 64-bit? EDIT: If so, will this be bottle-necked by a Pentium 4?
That's a shit card for the money, and you shouldn't be upgrading a Pentium 4 rig anyhow.
It was more-so an example to help the question, wasn't really planning on it. But how can you tell if a card "bottlenecks" a CPU?
So uh, little problem. I've apparently convinced my chrome to change its useragent to IE2.0 to mess with a friend, but I can't change it back. How do I make chrome reset the useragent back to the default one?
It was more-so an example to help the question, wasn't really planning on it. But how can you tell if a card "bottlenecks" a CPU?
Look at the maximum frame rate of a game with a strong card on low settings. The FPS will most likely be limited by the CPU then, and by comparing that frame rate to the game where the game is maxed out (with card you are looking for), you can tell if it's the GPU that is going to bottleneck you, or the CPU.

Now I'm going to type this backwards in case your IE2 useragent reverses everything. .noisnetxe na ylbaborp s'tI
My friend wants a new laptop, and he wanted a decent laptop capable of playing games like Guildwars 2. He needs some advice on which laptop to buy. MEDION® ERAZER® X6811 laptop, MEDION® ERAZER® X6811 laptop, MEDION® ERAZER® X6811 laptop, MEDION® ERAZER® X6812 laptop, MEDION® ERAZER® X6813 laptop, MEDION® ERAZER® X6811 laptop. These are the ones his brother looked up. Are these decent or are there better ones?

It was something to do with the command line, and I started it once with the --user-agent flag but apparently it's now on by default. The last thing I want to do is switch to firefox, but with the way everything's treating me now that it thinks I'm running IE2.0, it's almost worth the hassle.
Is it true that Windows Firewall is nearly useless nowadays and disabling it won't make me much more likely to suffer ill effects? I use Avast! anyway.

Where does Firefox keep it's cookies and shit? I need to delete this stuff so I don't have to log in every five minutes, but I don't want to delete the entire appdata folder (because then I'd lose extensions, bookmarks etc). And there's no "Clear Data" button anywhere I can find it.

Does RivaTuner read temperature accurately? It's telling me my gpu is 50C at startup that makes no sense.
I don't know exactly how to explain my problem but here goes. If I click in empty space on my taskbar ( autohide enabled ) and drag anywhere, the bar will freeze up and I either have to wait or close explorer.exe. Now if I wait for it to come back from freezing, the bar will stay up and won't autohide.
I was wondering if anyone here uses one of the Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold PSUs and what your opinion on them is. I plan on getting the 1000w one, as I will be upgrading to SLI soon (GTX480). I know it got a lot of good reviews, but I just wanna make sure before I go ahead and buy one.
