I'm getting this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150516 but I noticed this http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.656814 there is no difference between the two right? I would really like Shogun but I want to be sure there is no difference in anything (price etc)
its the same thing but you might be able to combo other things and get a better deal if you're getting more than just the GPU.
One question about music files. From what I've heard most (all?) music CD's have their music files at 128kb/s. I am going to buy some real high quality headphones very soon (Sennheiser). In the same time I am also going to buy a bunch of music CD's because the mp3 files i have now is not the best quality. Now the main question: Is it better to buy the CD's and rip the songs with a professional ripping tool (Exact Audio Copy) or is it better to buy the online versions of the albums which is 320kb/s. Will I notice any difference between 128kb/s and 320kb/s? Is it true that all music CD's is only 128kb/s?

Or V0 (variable bitrate). FLAC (what you should rip CDs as if you want full quality) is the full 1411 kbps but compressed (fully lossless audio codec). Just stick with 320 or V0.
its the same thing but you might be able to combo other things and get a better deal if you're getting more than just the GPU.
I've already gotten most of the things for the build. But I was just wondering if the combo is the same as w/o it.
Does it shut off instantly or does it blue screen first (in windows)
No blue screen, it acts just like its overheating but it will do this with a cold boot and some times it will stay on long enough for me to post things. the temps seem to hover in the high 40's which I guess is fine for it. [editline]6th July 2011[/editline] also each time it does it, it seems there is more time between the crashes.
A worthy upgrade?
If you're buying an AM3+ mobo, wait for bulldozer. I'm not sure either whether AM3 CPUs works in AM3+ motherboards, as AM2 and AM2+ doesn't work in AM3.
Unless you for some reason need to upgrade now, I would wait and see what the bulldozer prices are going to be like, it isn't that far away (I hope!)
Damn it you are right, as much as I am eager for an upgrade I'm gonna try and restrain myself and wait.
For some reason my computer has been booting really slow lately, I did a quick malware scan and nothing came up so I'm assuming there's some junk that I can't stop with msconfig that is slowing it down. Are there any good freeware programs I can use to remedy this problem? Some specs if that will help. Windows 7 Ulti-64 bit 12 gigs DDR3 RAM i7 920 GTX 260
Damn it you are right, as much as I am eager for an upgrade I'm gonna try and restrain myself and wait.
I waited pretty much one year before upgrading, and it payed of very well.

Thinking of buying: ASUS P8Z68 Deluxe, Socket-1155 Intel® Core™ i7-2600 Processor I don't have the money to buy a new graphic card at the moment, I've got a ATI Radeon™ HD 4600. Would these 3 work together?
They would, but it would be very stupid. You'll also need to check if your other parts are compatible.
So what would you recomend me using?
So what would you recomend me using?
Your graphics card would be an enormous bottleneck, and you probably won't be utilizing an i7 anyway. I recommend that you get an AMD Phenom II X4 955, they're dirt cheap right now, and have pretty good performance anyway. You can then buy a not too expensive card like a GTX 460 aswell. If you're using DDR2 RAM right now, you can easily find a motherboard supporting both DDR2 and DDR3 as well, so you won't need to upgrade that right now.
There was a program that showed you where your hard drive space was going to. It showed it as squares in squares, where the bigger the square was, the more space it was using. Does anyone know the name of the program?
