For some reason my headset is being mighty weird It seems to be emitting a quiet constant noise, I put it off to tinnitus or something but I managed to run it through audacity and isolate the sound, so it's actually something physical: http://filesmelt.com/dl/Whatthefuckman.wav Anyone have any clues?

Are there any desktop widgets out there that can show you temperatures (CPU, GPU, HDD) without requiring an extra program? Alternatively, is there a way to get Speccy to report the GPU temperature?
What monitors would go on either side of a 22" 1680 x 1050 and be in line for eyefinity?
I've been trying to open an AVI file in Sony Vegas so I can export it to my PSP, but it always chokes on it when opening saying that 'File C:\Users\Robert Lockley\Desktop\Virtualdub\Video.avi could not be opened. - An error occurred while opening a codec.' I've tried using Virtualdub and it choked on it as well saying 'Couldn't locate decompressor for format 'H264' (unknown). VirtualDub requires a Video for Windows (VFW) compatible codec to decompress video. DirectShow codecs, such as those used by Windows Media Player, are not suitable.' I'm at a complete loss here.

If in doubt about a GPU, get MSI. The ASUS and Gigabyte ones are pretty good too.
Wow, the HIS one apparently has issues.
I saw the reviews, but sometimes they aren't always the best...figured I'd check here.
Wow, the HIS one apparently has issues.
Don't believe Newegg reviews. My 4870 was a 3.0 or something with them all being mediocre review/1 egg. It's been about two years on this card with no issues at all.
I'm trying to run Fallout 1 and 2 in Windows 7 64-bit and all of the colors are corrupted? Can I fix this somehow?
I had a similar problem with Age of Empire 2, Explorer causes the colour problems, try using a batch script:
taskkill /F /IM explorer.exe age2_x1.exe start explorer.exe
Just put this in a text file (with .bat extension) in your fallout directory and replace 'age2_x1.exe' with the name of the main executable. This will kill explorer, let you play the game, then restart explorer when you quit.
