For some reason, I can't find my DVD drive on my PC, and when I out in a disc, I can hear the computer whirring about and whatever, but if I click on a game, it says that the disc is not in the drive. The same is happening when I try and import CD's to iTunes. Help please?

it would probably take so much time and effort that it would be more worth your time to just buy a webcam

Check the connections on the drive. And the connections on the board.

Are there any USB ports next to the plug? If there are, is there anything plugged into it/them?
How do I tell Firefox 5 to automatically clear my download history when I exit it?
Options, Privacy, use custom settings in the dropdown. Then some new options should appear, one of which is "Clear history on exit" with "Settings" next to it.

A Spinpoint F3 is what you should be getting with just about any budget, anyways.
These are my current specs:

I plan on upgrading the CPU at some point and currently Microcenter is having a really good sale on AM3 and LGA1155 cpus and motherboard combos. I'm going to try and pool money together and maybe get some birthday cash (high doubt my parents will help me out a bit since it's less than two months away lol) and do the upgrade possibly this week. Now my question is what I should upgrade to. They have the i5 2600K at $179.99 and the Phenom II x4 955 at $111.99 right now, with $40 off any combo AM3 and LGA1155 motherboard. Which one will give me the best bang for the buck?
If you need the lists of what the deals are here is the link http://viewer.zmags.com/publication/a905f0fc#/a905f0fc/1 The Intel deals are on page 28 and the AMD deals are on page 29. To be safe I'd say my budget is about $250 at the moment. If you guys can help me find a good cpu and motherboard deal that'd be great, and crossfire compatibility woould be nice since I plan on getting a second 6870 and PSU after this upgrade.
Reposting.
Check the connections on the drive. And the connections on the board.
Didn't have to, just did a reset. Cheers anyway.

If you can afford it, get Intel.
i5-2500k and MSI P67A-GD65 if they have it.
I was talking to my mum about a laptop for use at my school, and I was looking at getting one of the old "Black Macbooks" second hand for about $550 but my dad said he had a HP probook 4520s. The specs on it look great for gaming even, except I heard bad things about HP. What should I do?
Is getting a 6950 over a 6870 worth it if I have a 1920x1080 res? What kind of FPS increases in games am I seeing comparatively?

I am currently looking for a new network card, since mine is missing its drivers which I can't find.
Recommendations?

Motherboards have integrated sound cards, you won't be able to notice a difference unless you have speakers over $200 or headphones over $100, and even then it sounds identical to an untrained ear.
Does it matter which one of these rams I get?
