It turns out that many other people have the exact same router and have the exact same issue.
The only known fix is to buy a new router.
So, tell me. What is a good router for less than $75?
Preferably one that doesn't have horrible issues that can't be fixed.
why does my WRT350N keep randomly becoming unresponsive, it's a few years old and I recently did a full reset on it but it's still doing it
the only thing done to it was setting up wireless security, nothing else has been changed

G.Skill make a nice and cheap set of 2x4GB DDR3-1600 sticks, they're called Ripjaws.
Alright, I'd like a new case, I'm thinking around $100 or so would be a good budget, what should I get?
I currently have a HAF912, my full specs are
i5 2500k @ 4.5GHz
GTX460 1gb
8GB DDR3 Ram @ 1333MHz
1.5TB HDD

Hey all, I'm currently working on converting an old pc power supply for general use as a bench power supply. I've ensured the case is grounded, and earlier I needed to inspect a few things when it was running. I've been very careful to avoid touching any circuitry, bare wires or components (particularly those huge caps) What I wasn't expecting was to get an electric shock from touching the heatsink! (directly right of the blue capacitors)

It seems to output the correct voltages, but does anyone think this thing is an accident waiting to happen and should be thrown out?

Just put the cover back on and you won't accidentally electrocute yourself.
I've been meaning to do this as well but the only old PSU's I have are either in use or broken.
I just read that it's actually two isolated heatsinks and touching both can bridge some connection. Would make sense with that plastic thing keeping the two separate, but it seems like a dangerous way to design it. I guess with the case on it can't kill anyone.

Ok just measured it, there's 140V AC across that gap.... Looks like it might go in the bin. (Unless someone can convince me this is normal)
Decided to finally run tests on my desktops HDD. I've been using this Samsung HD103UJ for over 3 years now.

I noticed there was a major dip at one point. It's usually consistent throughout different tests, this one being the worst. Sadly my HDD doesn't have SMART support and all usual disk checks give out an ok. Everything else looks in order except for that. Anything I should be concerned about?

If I want to make a disk to re-install windows on a laptop, do I just need an .iso file of the operating system burned on a disk?
Did you start any program at that point? Access the disk?

Pretty much. You'll need a serial key as well, but I assume you have that already.
Does anyone know of a good program to convert multiple Compiled HTML files to PDF's that doesn't leave a watermark
Compiled
HTML
I am confused.
Compiled

It's a proprietary online help format made by Microsoft

I want to put the books on my Nook so I can read them and I am pretty sure Android doesn't support .chm files
Oh that bullshit.
Oh that bullshit.
I know I can convert them to PDF one by one but I have a few hundred
So I don't want to do something over 100 times

Why do you want a new case?
Why aren't you in the chat?
Did you ever put your CPU cooler fan on right?
Nevermind I installed it but the temps are 15C higher than they should be, ~45 idle and the heatpipes are not even warm, is there a break-in period with the Hyper 212+? I fucked up on installing it I guess so I'll reapply the thermal paste.
The other thing is that my mouse isn't working in the MSI EFI (works fine everywhere else) so I'm trying to get updates here:
http://us.msi.com/product/mb/P67A-G45--B3-.html#/?div=Download
Do I just get 1.B or what?
Well I updated it and that didn't help it, I guess I'm going to have to put Windows on first. Really though it's pretty weird, I have horizontal movement but it won't let me move the cursor up or down wtf.
My headphone and mic port won't accept or send sound, they make a noise as if they were connected though; how can I fix them?

Because I never really wanted this one, I just picked it up last minute so I could have a case, and $50 was all I had, so I just took it. And I haven't been in chat lately because my cousin has been over for like the past week and hes been playing KOTOR on my steam account. And I haven't corrected my heatsink yet, I'm too lazy :v:, I'll fix it in a bit.

This is only $81. Can anyone find a reason to not buy this?

We need more information. Whats the back story here? Whats the soundcard? etc.

Wireless devices go into the PCI-E slots right?

Depends, really.

If you are connecting them to the front panel audio connectors, are you sure those are plugged in correctly to the motherboard?
Can anyone link me to a USB2 internal I/O splitter, and a USB3 one (seperately).
Long story short, my case has 2 USB2 cables for the MOBO, mobo has one USB3 one USB2. Since i'm going to get one of these, i'll need 2 slots for each.
To clarify, this is for the motherboard connectors - not standard USB splitters.
