Nevermind. Not an issue.
If you are connecting them to the front panel audio connectors, are you sure those are plugged in correctly to the motherboard?
Yeah I just checked, they are.

What diffrence is there in 1920x1080x32 and 1920x1080x16?
How big upgrade is there between socket 1155 and 1366 for gaming use? The price between them is huge.
1920x1080x32 is 32-bit color, the second is 16-bit color.
1155 socket is better for gaming, 1366 is better for high-end work, e.g. professional sound/video work.

Thank you, you've saved me 300$ atleast.

1155 is the new mainstream platform, this is what you want to use if you're just gaming (with a 2500k)
1366 is the old enthusiast/workstation platform, at this point it has nothing really going for it and it's ready to be replaced by socket 2011, the new workstation socket
1366 is old news get 1155

Should i wait for the 2011 socket? I can wait 4 months. But im not sure how much they would cost, and the motherboards.
nah, for now if you're doing work that uses hyperthreading the 2600k is fine
and if you're not (gaming doesn't) the 2500k is great
is there a program where i make 1 key emulate another key? Say I press K and it makes the computer think I pressed f1
I can only get around 70 - 80kb/s on youtube and I have to wait 5 mins for the video to fully buffer, but as soon as I enable my VPN I max out my speed on youtube. Why is that? My internet connection is 12Mb Download 3Mb Upload, service is AT&T Uverse. Possible throttling? I can't even watch a 320p video without vpn.
Looking for a cheap microphone stand for my desktop, gooseneck or boom style, for cheap.
Under $20 would be nice, and I'd like it to be able to sit at least 2 feet away from me and get very close to my mouth.

What is the best possible case for cooling purposes
Bonus points for being quiet
When should I start to worry about temps?

The Q6600 is overclocked to 3.3GHz and is cooled with an Antec KÜHLER H₂O 620.

I personally would worry myself but that is just me, But What I would do is replace the thermal paste
Guess I'll do that tomorrow morning then. It's a been a while since I've done that.

Make sure its a nice even layer, not too thick not too thin
I've heard something along the line of a pea sized ball in the middle of the cpu would work, or is that what you mean? I haven't applied any new past in about a month and a half or so.
What about the gpu?

Personally what I do for thermal paste is squirt some out onto the CPU then take a business card and spread it so its a nice even layer across the CPU
Cant tell for the GPU because I haven't seen Temps

I posted them in the same post as the cpu temps.

I wouldn't be worried about your GPU just dust it out
Pea-sized in the middle should be fine. Joining the CPU to the CPU heatsink will spread it around.

Not evenly enough for me, but I have used this method before and it has worked fine
Is there any way to make scaling with a custom resolution work on a nvidia card?
My resolution is 1680x1050 I want to have 1680x945 with black bars at the top and bottom at the moment it is just stretched to fit regardless of scaling type set which works fine with the standard resolutions.

Throw some cathodes in there and sell it to a illiterate for $1000
So. I'm stuck between 3 different motherboards for my new build. Can anyone help me choose one of these 3? I need some convincing as I like all 3 of them, but I've heard mixed reviews about all of them too.
EVGA 131-GT-E767-TR - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=13-188-068
GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128423
ASUS Sabertooth X58 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131665
Anyone know of any highlights about these boards or if i'm just plain stupid and there is an obvious choice?
Also, with the Gigabyte UDR3 I noticed that there is no memory standard for 1600 MHz ram, I'm actually not quite sure what this means as I've never overclocked ram before and if I bought 1600 mhz ram would it work? And yes, I do realize that technically all ram past 1333 has to be overclocked.
Thank you anyone who takes the time to read.

I saw a pentium 4 rig with a Geforce 4 on sale for a similar price to a (then modern) core 2 duo rig with a top of the line graphics card. Reason? Liquid cooling, windowed case and cathodes. I called the seller out on it and he basically told me to fuck off.

Make the custom resolution, then go here:

and choose no scaling or aspect scaling
If this still isn't working, try changing

to another option and make sure you're using a digital connection like HDMI or DVI.
Actually it might have something to do with you running XP
Acer Aspire One for $200, good/bad? I'm in a computer science program in college so it would be helpful to keep a netbook around, is the value good and is it durable enough to be handled around the campus and in public transit and all?
