So I'm looking to sell my current PC for some money to build a new one, but I'm not sure how much it's worth. Here are my specs:

Depends. Selling it to a computer illiterate or someone who knows a thing or two about computers.

I'm not sure who I'm selling it to, I'd just like a price first.

slap it in a nice-looking case, get a couple of cathodes and the value increases dramatically

It is a Dell so I don't know if the Motherboard is some weird form factor
Yeah it's a prebuilt dell and i don't think i can do much with it, I'm just asking how much it'd be worth if i were to sell it with those specs.
I have a surge protector with about 8 outlets on it. I connect all of my power components to it including my monitor, speakers, router and modem. This surge protector looks like this:

I've had it since 1998ish , should I disconnect anything to prevent it from breaking on me one day? Should I buy a new surge protector or should this last me a lifetime?
Re-toasting/
I figure a surge protector is a surge protector, the one I'm using Amazon is telling me is from 1973...
I'm sure the actual thing isn't that old that's just when it was designed or something.
1973? Wow, sounds like these things do last a lifetime.

they're a basic electronic device, they either work or they don't. I believe they just trip if there's too many amps or a high fluctuation in a short amount of time.
Which out of these should I buy?

Crucial Ballistix
Let's say I turn an old Dell box into a home server, and take out EVERYTHING not necessary (CDROM, PCI slots, etc.)
Does it decrease power consumption to downgrade the PSU to lower wattage?
Would it be a bad idea to stick this card inside this case?
560 ti isn't a big card, and why would it be a bad idea? The case is big enough to fit it.
I am going to install a new processor on my mobo, however according to ASUS I will need to update my bios to make my mobo compatible. Any ideas on how to install the update properly?

I was just wondering since it looks huge in the pictures (no specifications were given)
and the tower is a mid

Mainly for cooling
Depends on the motherboard. Best way is to make a bootable flash drive or disc for flashing, or using 'instant flash' in the BIOS if it supports it, easiest way it just doing it through windows. I've always just done it through windows, I don't feel the reduced risk is worth making a bootable disc/flash drive. If you just search your motherboard there should be an EXE you can download and run.
yes it would explode

(you should be fine)
On a related note can someone recommend a dust solution for that case^?

What do you mean? Just buy an air compressor and dust once or twice a month.

I just updated my CCC to 11.7. And now Aero doesn't work and when I open CCC it looks like this:

yes it is transparent.
I've tried reinstalling but it doesn't do anything, even downgrading the driver does nothing.
What do I do?
Edit: Fixed it, system restore I love you

Back then I guess they were built to last, in America, with quality components.
How do I open MP4 files in VirtualDub?
The DirectShow filter crashes every time.

My parts get caked without filters though, literally caked inside and out, the fan blades and all, i have to get a dust rag and wipe off each individual fan blade to get it all off, the blast of air alone won't do all that needs to be done.
Air filters block virtually all dust, so i won't be using any cases in the future without them.
I'm just looking for recommendations for filters and how to install them / if i can install them in that case

Hey I have a slimline computer, can any of you recommend a good slimline graphics card that is under 100$?
I'm not familiar with the specs of the Slimlines. What PSU do you have?
Also, how much room is there from the PCI-E slot to the case?
Well basically right now I am using a BFG GeForce 7950 GT, if that tells you anything.
And here is the PSU: http://www.impactcomputers.com/l280p-01.html
Edit: I was using this before the fan on it broke: http://compare.ebay.com/like/120752373222?var=lv<yp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar&_lwgsi=y
Would it be safe to run my system with This
AMD Phenom II X4 955 BD @ 3.8GHz
ZALMAN CNPS9700
GIGABYTE 770T-USB3 MoBo
Corsair XMS3 2x2GB DDR3 1333Mhz
GTX 480
Corsair Nova V32 32GB SSD
WD 250GB
It is the only spare PSU that I have and I would also run my CPU at stock clocks for the switch
Is there any way to backup my Steam games category settings? Because I finally have my categories exactly how I want them and I know it doesn't save between computers.
