Also how would I go about clearing all Nvidia drivers? then starting fresh with a new one? [editline] August 9th 2011 [/editline] Should I just use driver sweeper?
There is something in my task manager list called "plugin-container.exe" It's using up notable amounts of memory, and is occasionally using CPU resources as well. What is it? I don't remember seeing it before. [editline]9th August 2011[/editline] It was on when I started my computer this morning.
Does anyone know of a free and simple GIF maker I can use? I can't install Photoshop on this computer because it lacks a disc drive and I don't know how to use GIMP well enough yet. Plus I dunno if it can do animating...
Can't you legally download the latest Photoshop from their site and then put your key in? Could anyone tell me if these speakers are pretty good? I want good quality but I don't want to waste $40 on something mediocre when I could get something that might be a lot better for just $30 more.

Should I try putting in a dedicated sound card?
I get no video before I boot into windows too
If it can't show the POST then it is the GPU.
I am not getting video on the nvidia card now.
I am not getting video on the nvidia card now.
is it in the slot properly? Did you ground yourself?
Okay so I disabled the Relteak driver but now I am getting no audio so that means that these Nvidia sound drivers are completely useless. Should I try putting in a dedicated sound card?
Yeah, that's the only problem. I'm using a sound card that game with my headset (A USB sound-card converter thingeh) personally, so I don't have a problem. I've also heard rolling back to earlier NVIDIA drivers works, but idk about that.
That's not really a good deal. It would be much better for you to go AMD on this budget.
Well then what do you recommend? I'd say the budget is about $270.
Well then what do you recommend? I'd say the budget is about $270.
You already have the case, PSU and GPU? I'll get back to you tomorrow at some, have to get up early.
You already have the case, PSU and GPU? I'll get back to you tomorrow at some, have to get up early.
Yeah I already own the case, gpu, and psu.

So my friend wants a gaming laptop, with a budget of around 1000 USD. He says he wants a laptop that will be able to run games that will be coming out over the next few years well. Before you say, "Get a desktop", I've already tried to tell him that but he says that he doesn't have the room in his house. Right now I think the Samsung RF711-S02 might be the best gaming laptop at this pricepoint. Are there any other better choices out there?
