Is there a way to rip models (specifically the gremlin models) from Spiral Knights?
It seems the models are stored in a .dat file.
Just curious.
I can see the textures, they're in the same folder as the model but they're just plain old PNGs.
Edit:
Okay, I found a way to do it but I have NO idea how to use it.
I was pointed to a bunch of Java packages named Clyde, But I have no idea where to start with it.
It supposedly can export models to 3Ds Max, of which I have.
I just wanna see the models...
My mouse keeps randomly double clicking. It's not predictable and it's extremely annoying. I've scanned with malwarebytes and spybot, but that doesn't mean there isn't malware on my computer. My double click speed is on faster, because making it slower seems to make the problem worse.
Any ideas?
If you have a laptop, some touchpads have options to automatically double click when you hover on an icon for long enough. Check around in your options. Also, there might be an ease of access thing, I don't remember.
OEM is meant for System builders but its exactly the same as regular Windows 7
Then what prevents people from installing the OEM version of windows on a regular machine?
Well fuck I already ordered that PSU.
I think Ill be fine though, its not like I am planning to SLi soon anyway
cancel the order if you can, for $90 the OCZ is a ripoff
Not in stock(well, there's a used one, but I wouldn't buy that), and I can't find it anywhere else.
But, how's this mouse?

I can't say, I've never used it. I don't see why not, though. If you're looking for nothing fancy then I suppose even a dollar store mouse would work well enough.

it's fine, but I say get a 5 button mouse, I honestly hate using a PC without one, and it's really nice having the option of having the extra mouse buttons in games. I suggest for cheap mouses you stay with microsoft,

I've owned this mouse. The scroll wheel gets dirty like nobody's business and occasionally difficult to use but once you break it in, it's an excellent mouse.
I would probably go for the sidewinder.
I think he got mine and your post mixed together

So I think he thought my friend got it for $120
Oops.
Why are so many mouses named after snakes?
Then what prevents people from installing the OEM version of windows on a regular machine?
Nothing really its just that you don't have as much of support when you get it
Its better to get OEM since most problems are easy to google or ask someone.
OEM also complains about big hardware changes such as motherboard replacement with an alternate chipset. A call up to Microsoft easily fixes it
Normally I'd build my sister a computer, but she's going off to university, and she's tech illiterate, so I figure it'd be much better to have a simple laptop, pre-built, Windows 7 pre-installed.
So we went to Sam's club and got her a $500 Toshiba Satellite, with 2.10 ghz i3 and 4 gigs ram.
Then, I used my dad's connections at the university to legally get a free copy of MS Office 2010 and McAffee security 2009. I then created a Windows repair disk, and used three DVD-Rs to create a system backup image of the brand new computer, in case she screws it up badly.
Anything I did wrong? She's just going to be doing Web and simple stuff on it. She's in a BASIC computer class.

A BASIC computer class? You mean a class that teaches the basics, or one that teaches BASIC?
Switch the McAffee to Microsoft Security Essentials, otherwise you should be fine.
Now that i've assumed that Nvidia's latest graphics card is the best I need a 700W psu, any suggestions?
I have a quick question about laptops and going to university. How much battery life do you aim to have when shopping for a laptop?

The basics. Well I dunno really, didn't look too close but definitely nothing serious.
So not like 80yo-grandma-never-touched-a-computer-before basics, and not programming or anything.
And not BASIC.

Well my graphics card has started acting up, sometimes it will randomly cut the display and a message will appear in the bottom right once it's back saying "Display driver has stopped responding and has recovered"
I have the newest drivers and such, and this card is <2 weeks old.
No overheating or anything, I'm not sure what to do. This doesn't happen specifically under load, it just happens.
Do I need to uninstall my old nvidia graphics drivers BEFORE I will install my new HD6850 or after?
For what it's worth, yes, use driver sweeper too.

I've done some minor computer work (RAM, gpu) but I've never built one like this before.
Ok, I have upgraded my pc sucessfully, although I encountered 1 problem.
The HD6850 has 2 DVI slots, and I have 2 VGA screens using VGA to DVI converters. However the second DVI slot on the videocard appeared to be digital only, hence I am only able to use the top one which is both analog and digital. What is the cheapest solution to get my 2 screens running?
just got a new laptop, with an i5 2540m @ 2.6. I want to run 3dsmax on it but when rendering it can go as hot as 80c, is that too hot?
Yes and such is life with laptops unfortunately, only option is to brave the temperatures and burn your legs or get a laptop cooler.
