Anybody know of a good mini-HDMI to DisplayPort adapter or cable? My 460GTX has a mini-HDMI female port but my monitor only supports DisplayPort(which is pretty sad, but I've heard decent things about it).
Lately i've been thinking of getting another HD5830 for my system as i don't want to spend +200€ on a new graphics card and then throw my current HD5830 out of the window.
My specs:
Intel I7 920 @ 4Ghz
3x 2GB OCZ Gold XTC 1333Mhz @ 1520Mhz 9-9-9-21
Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R v.2
Club3D Radeon HD5830 1GB factory OC Core: 825Mhz Memory: 1050Mhz(4200Mhz)
Corsair HX650 650Watt
Sapphire HD5830 Xtreme, 1GB Core: 800Mhz Memory: 1000Mhz
for 109€
That would be the card i'm getting, so my question is would it work with my Club3D card as they're from different manufacturer and have different stock clocks ?

It'll work with both your card and PSU, though I would try to stay away from overclocking much, as you're really on the border.

Yea well those overclocks are pretty much the limits for my Memory and CPU chip so i'm not going over them as these clocks work stable under Prime95.
But thanks for quick answer so i can go order the card.

I just checked some reviews on the PSU, and it's efficiency is high enough to run two 5830, and a bit of headroom for overclocking.

I've checked reviews of the PSU too and most of the reviews has said that it's pretty much same as HX750 with less connectors as the test results of HX650 and HX750 are really close to each other when running over the rated wattage.
Is there a way or a script to make Youtube videos always play at 720p if possible?

I think you can change it if you have an account, just choose "settings" on the resolution menu. This is a guess, since youtube's messing with me, and doesn't allow me to link my shit.

IIRC, they used to have a setting "Always play in the best resolution" in the past, but not anymore.
I can set these options in my account settings:
* I have a slow connection. Never play higher-quality video.
* Always choose the best option for me based on my player size.
--- * Always play HD when switching to fullscreen (when available)
I'd prefer if all videos played in at least 720p
I'd prefer if I could stream 720p
Can grease be used instead of thermal paste for connecting heatsink to cpu?
Can grease be used instead of thermal paste for connecting heatsink to cpu?
sure it can but i wouldn't, unless you mean thermal grease which is just another name / type of thermal compound

No, I literally meant grease, I heard somewhere that it works just as well but I could have just got mixed up.
I guess you could but I personally wouldn't on a new build or anything like that.
Ok so, I use to use a DVI cable for my monitor and I was able to use the native res which is 1920x1080 just fine but now I'm using a HDMI cable and the native res doesn't even fit the screen and all the colors look messed up. When I use 1680x1050 everything looks just fine. Any of you know what's causing this?

ATI card? I hate how it's like this by default... goto the ATI CCC and change the digital panel scaling.
Ah ok thanks, that worked for the sizing issue. But oh god the colors... Nothing I do fixes it.
Yeah, hdmi out on ati cards is always odd. I can't really help since I have nvidia now, try changing the pixel... something, should be in digital panels options somewhere.
Pixel format? They look the same. I tried looking it up on other forums and none of the fixes work.
Is this a TV or monitor?

nvm read the original question, so why not just use DVI?
It's a monitor/HDTV thingy, Samsung SyncMaster B2330HD.

last I checked, HDMI was just DVI + sound, so if your monitor only has the HDMI, get a DVI to HDMI converter and plug your monitor into the DVI out.
Well, nothing I do fixes the issue. This is annoying as hell.

It only has VGA and HDMI. I posted a link above.
Then use a DVI-> HDMI adapter, the card will output DVI and the monitor will accept the HDMI. should fix the issues.
Again, there is no DVI port, just VGA. So it'd be HDMI -> DVI -> DVI to VGA.
Is there a way to make it so a program, when minimised does not have an icon in the taskbar? As in, if I'm playing a game I can alt tab out of it, then later be able to alt tab back in, but you won't be able to see the icon on the taskbar that the program is actually running. I'm on W7 btw.
