Ok my ape of a brother thought he broke his video card while cleaning it, as his computer no longer showing video. So he bought a new 460. Now it turns on but crashes shortly after playing any video game after plenty of stuttering. It also does various weird things unrelated to video, such as his itunes having none of his music in it. And his computer generally being slower. So i'm wondering if instead he just messed his motherboard up. He went at it with a swiffer cloth. [editline]26th August 2011[/editline] And he just dropped two screws into his PSU, I bet you're wondering how he accomplished that. Well he also broke the mesh off the top somehow.
Will a define R3 fit a Dark Rock PRO cooler inside? Case is 232mm and cooler 150mm, so I'm assuming it will fit?
Definitely.
Can anyone find me the accessory that fits into a 5.25'' drive bay, and has USB slots on the front? I can't find the right one, I had it before - Had 2x USB3 and 4x USB2 on the front.
Hey, could you tell me if this is enough to get Deus Ex Human Revolution playing smoothly on my pc? I can play FO3 on medium graphics settings, Call of Pripyat on High, and empire total war on low. (But only just) :v: I know very little about computers. I have 4 GB RAM, a 64-bit operating system, a Nividia GeForce G100 Graphics card, and an AMD Phenom 9650 Quad-core processor 2.30 GHz I've been told that the issue here is my graphics card. Do you guys think the same?
I'm actually having a problem running Quake solely off of my thumb drive. I get this error that says it can't find steam when I try to execute WinQuake. Any idea on how to fix this?
Try GLQuake instead?
Alright so we got my brother's computer up and running, CPU was getting way too hot and shutting itself down. Except now when he runs any game, for example Assassins creed he used to run it gets choppy when he turns around or looks in another direction. And considering he just got a new 460 and the processor was getting around 80* i'd say the CPUs damaged. Thoughts?

If you have some extra thermal compound available, remove and clean it and the CPU and then remount it. If you don't, just try and make sure it's clipped on correctly without removing the heatsink from the CPU.
do you know the site url for this somewhat interactive building a computer thing? I had it bookmarked a while ago but I can't find it. All I can remember of it was it had quite a nice layout and simple colours. Does anyone know the site address for this (interactive from what I can remember) computer building website? I can't remember much about it but it had a nice layout and looked simple, the colours were also quite distinguishable. I can't really remember much else though, all help would be greatly appreciated.

If I'm away from the PC for a while, the screen goes blue and the lights in my keyboard turns themselves off. It's fixed by clicking the mouse, but is there a way to prevent it from happening?
You sure it's not a screensaver/powersaving thing? Look through your control panel.

I mean, they cost more than the Ultrasharp equivalents, and they're not even IPS, what's the deal? I have to say, they look better than the ultrasharps which is pretty amazing, but still... Also, is the 23" Ultrasharp better than the 23" Apple Cinema Display? Thanks
It is better.

Is the Intel HD 2000 (i5 2400) graphics better than the ATI Radeon HD2400? [editline]27th August 2011[/editline] Also, do I need a graphics card to play 1080p / 720p video on my old PC (2.0GHz Core 2 Duo E4400, 3GB DDR2 667 RAM)
Just got windows 7 home premium, activated it and all that fancy jazz. However the ONE problem is steam windows have this annoying fucking green bar on them. Now I don't know about you but my taskbar HAS to be neat otherwise I flip out. How do I stop that green thing? Also, I play 50% of games windowed at 1280x720, however for them to fit properly I have to drag the window a little bit "above" the screen. But when I try on W7, it makes the window snap back down to where it fits properly. How do I disable that?

Now I can't go back, seriously autohide is awesome it frees up space on your screen and shit

I'm just gonna have to keep steam out of the taskbar :C
