I hope this is stable now! I'm installing it on my school laptop atm :)

Hmm I seem to be quite interested in the Powerpoint changes even though I barely use anything but Word.

I might buy this.
God I wish my school would update their office to this were still stuck on 2003 :(
God I wish my school would update their office to this were still stuck on 2003 :(
This is still in beta and 2007 isn't all that big of an improvement to be honest, it's all just GUI-candy.
Looks really good. I can't wait for proper x64 version:dance:
How do you plan to utilize the 64 bit version in a way that the 32 bit version cannot be utilized? Just curious :)
Good to know. I haven't. So I guess what you're saying is to try OO first then buy Word if you're one of the few lucky ones for who it bugs out? I agree.
You seem to criticize anything not open source, like if it's not open source it's the work of the devil.
I tried the Tech Beta a while back. Sure beats my previous installation of office XP. :dance: Probably buying whatever has excel, powerpoint and word.
OMG, I didn't realize Office 2010 looked so sexy!
A new build leaked. Downloaded it - it's not much different than the lest leaked build. The splash screen is cooler, though. Apparently this will be the Beta 1 build.
Whats the build number?
14.0.4514.1009 They're still using the same old pamphlet templates from Office '97 :( I keep finding new things in this thread, I was out of the loop, I'm ashamed to admit it, but I wasn't aware of the Office 2010 leaks, I deserve to be rated late an ~ (infinite) amount of times.

I have a question deep inside me in the darkest and most furious corner of the evil side of my mind: Is it FINALLY possible to insert equations in OneNote? Please, for the love of god, tell me it is possible!

Beta is available for MSDN/Technet subscribers.
Then I can get a key for mine :D
it's gonna be 2007 all over again.
I think things look a lot more thought out this time rather than throwing out a new GUI that wasn't really thought out well and was radically different to the old one.
Beta now available to everyone http://www.microsoft.com/office/2010/en/default.aspx
the design is ok but I still use 2003 and 2007
my outlook keeps creating folders on my imap live acount... news feed, news feed 1, news feed 2, etc etc etc... anyone knows a fix for this?
The splash screen is FUCKING AWESOME. It does a swoosh animation that switches between all the office colors. Really epic. Problem is, it opens too fast to see it after first run :( :(
Holy shit that splash screen was fucking awesome. I was working on tons of shit so shit went down like "-opens office 2010 beta i d/led- .........-STARES-" Yeah, I wish it did that slower every time honestly. |D;; Only program I'd want to take a while to open? ;;
This is still in beta and 2007 isn't all that big of an improvement to be honest, it's all just GUI-candy.
Eh no. When you really learn the new interface and ribbon you'll find out how great and effective it is. I remember first time i started office 2007 after only been using 2003 i thought it looked so complicated and i couldn't bother it at all but as i took my time read the instructions i slowly found it alot better and nicer to work with + my essays looks a whole lot better. So put your ass together and stop being so close minded ! (:
I'll stick to Notepad++
I'll stick to notebooks.
I'll stick to notebooks.
Your notebook compares nothing to N++
