• Multiple Display Question

So I just bought a new TV. I've currently got three screens (not in Eyefinity) attached to the first of my two 5770s, two in DVI, and one in Displayport. My question is: What connection should I use to attach the TV? I'll have to obviously use my second graphics card, but will it work with HDMI? Or can I only use DVI? I know multiple displays across crossfire is really fussy. Or maybe that's just with Eyefinity. Argh.
If you're not using both DVI on the other card, HDMI Should work, but I think HDMI shares one of the DVI outs, since they're identical signals except for the Audio out. I could be 100% wrong though. Just try it! Nothing will break... probably.
Haha I'm trying to figure out what cable to buy. I just remembered that I let my girlfriend borrow my HDMI cable so I'll check it out once I get a hold of that. What you're saying sound correct, though and that's what I'm looking for. Thanks.

Each DVI/HDMI output requires a clock generator and the AMD 5770HD only has two of those, so only 2 of those three outputs can be used at a time. DisplayPort doesn't require the use of a clock generator so it can be used in tandem with 2 DVI ports or with a DVI port and an HDMI port. I don't believe you can use the outputs on the second card if you intend to use Crossfire.
I have the same dilemma, but I'm gonna get another card to run my tv on. I used hdmi, works great, and the ati drivers all your to have it output sound also.
Awesome thanks for the information. And all this will work in Crossfire, yeah?
