Not meaning to disagree... But the 5970s are clocked to 5850 speeds, but can easily be OCed back up to 5870 speed.
Also, DX11 is going to be a big deal in case people haven't been keeping up with the news... Also, given a month or six, the 5970 will be as expensive as the 295, and, provided we get better drivers soon, will be twice as powerful, with less power draw, less heat, more versatility and better support (What? you expected them to keep working on 295 drivers when their precious Fermi drops?)

also i must be mistaken but my friend actually has 1 gtx 295 and it can beat a 5970.
Anyways the main point is, ther eis only one fucking game with dx11 and that's dirt2 which that also supports the lower dx 10, so there is no point at all.

Er wrong. There are a few games right now that are out that support Dx11. There are also quite a few games coming out in Q1 2010 that will support Dx11. Also some will be patched to support Dx11 support.
