I support alternatives to the shitty web ads but I'm really not convinced Javascript CPU miners are the way to go.
Better get used to it CoinHive is indeed all the rage these days.

I still find this hilarious.

mbam always getting its shit straight. :v:
Oh nice Telstra have blocked coin-hive.com at the ISP level.
See the rub here is I actually really love my job, and my boss is one of the nicest people I've ever met. He'll do stuff like let me host gameservers on the company Google Cloud account or buy personal things through the company Amazon account occasionally. I'm going to at least approach the topic of a raise before just randomly finding another job.
Also the job market here is atrocious, so I'd rather stick with this job if possible.
To be honest I'm a bit shocked you'd even ask to do stuff like host a game server on company resources.
To be honest I'm a bit shocked you'd even ask to do stuff like host a game server on company resources.
I didn't. I was just complaining about how unreliable my internet is when trying to host a game server, and he just said "go ahead and use one of our cloud instances, it's totally idle and does nothing right now" and I was all like "sure thing boss!"
To be honest I'm a bit shocked you'd even ask to do stuff like host a game server on company resources.
I was allowed to host whatever the fuck I wanted at my old datacenter as long as it didn't become a problem.

We pretty much all hosted seed boxes and plex servers.
As Linus said in the video about it. Make the front part actually useful and not odd looking and standing out.
Probably shift some of the fan positions.
Make it a little taller and bigger to again fit better fan placements.
Reduce cost so it doesn’t cost $500 alone....
[editline]27th September 2017[/editline]
I can get the price because it’s a designer and it’s niche but I’m a cheap asshole so:V
What would be a better price then? $250-$300?
$324 Bob!
I think I might be in the market for a laptop that can do media/video editing work, depending on how things go with a client. I think at least a semi-decent 13 inch laptop with a very colour accurate display, that can at least handle basic photo editing and last minute fixes to photoshop/illustrator files would be a good idea. I know there are quad-core 14 inch laptops but they cost an ass load and typically don't have colour accurate displays at all unless you go for the stupid hi-res displays.
Sharpies can do amazing things, used mine to make my CPU fan's connector and cables pitch black!

EY atleast it's near twice as tall as intel stock :v: Tis just an i3 2130 tho so it is gud af

Oh also that 80mm fan on there is brand new, took it fresh out of the box 2 days ago, and it is extremely quiet, esp for 80mm at ~2000rpm. Couldn't hear it unless I put my ear around 2-3 inches from the fan, and it's 3 pin
GPU is done being RMA'd and thus ends the weeks of withdrawals I had from vidya.

Vile push pin monster, burn it.
I've only broken one of those pushpins because I was like, 15 and didn't bother looking up what I was supposed to do :v:

They seem to break if I look at them wrong, I fucking swear.
My CM TX3 came with pushpins.
it is worse than with a heavier cooler because it gets loose under its own weight. Looking at it wrong can make it come loose, moving the PC slightly might make it loose, knocking against it with your foot can make it come loose.
I wanted proper bolts ors. but didn't research much before buying it. The intel thermal mayo doesn't help too, the cooling is now just slightly better after I oc-d it than it was before with the stock cooler.
Pushpins were fine on my stock cooler then they were fine on the after market cooler I had after that. They continue to be fine after I gave it to my brother.
So convenient.

Honestly I prefer just regular 'ol screws and a backplate.
The Wraith Spire on my Ryzen was the easiest to install cooler I've ever seen.
Less fragile plastic to worry about the better.

The wraith really does do it right, captive spring loaded screws are just perfect, no fucking around with fiddly plastic shit.
so this wireless keyboard and touch pad is pretty fucking good, shame about the layout but thats being picky
Did you get the one I recommended? They're pretty alright yeah. Battery life is surprisingly long, too.
One thing I have noticed though is when it gets low on battery, it'll start acting funky rather than give you a low battery light.
They seem to break if I look at them wrong, I fucking swear.
Before I got the Noctua whatever the fuck that my dad mistakenly bought and gave to me, I was using the stock pushpin cooler. The pushpins weren't even broken but only 2 would actually hold. No amount of pushing, turning or anything would get the other 2 to stick. Those coolers are genuinely terrible.
When they stick right they at least aren't horrible at cooling, but of course half the battle of good cooling is keeping the cooler secure.

That's something I both love and hate about the 212, it's been a pita to install in the past, but it feels secure as fuck when it's in.
It'll be interesting to see how this adapter works for am4.

I had really bad luck with my 212 Evo, I ended up stripping the bolts when installing it somehow. It basically ensured that you'd have to super careful if you ever had to replace it.
Guess I'm having a philosophical discussion on tolerance with the CEO of NPM on reddit. Today is fun.

I just realized that if I had to rma my gpu, that would involve literally not being able to use it unless I got another backup gpu to use. Damn ryzen, not having integrated graphics.
Am I the only one that could get those Intel heatsink in on the first try 90% of the time?

Just grab that old 210

Unless it's still being used

You can buy this legit old and shit AMD card I have laying around :v:
why don't you guys have an 8400GS buried under ten years of shit in the back of your closet for backup
amateurs
