Linus builds a non RGB build and goes "derp, on one liked it, so therefore I have to go nuts with RGB like I did before"

I need a Linus RGB supercut.
Meanwhile Jayz makes badass Threadripper build that isn't RGB:

I can't make sense of high-end builds. Maybe at Computex where people are actively competing and putting things together that show a lot of DIY, but with most youtube ones it's thousands of dollars in boutique parts thrown onto an interesting looking but definitely stock case, hiding the expensive bits your average builder would showcase and be proud of (CPU, GPU, storage)
You can definitely make a function over form build that looks good. The full-size tempered glass panels in newer cases are about as far as I can go in the direction of aesthetics.
I'm not sure what you mean, youtubers use expensive cases with expensive water cooling rigs.
Personally I stopped caring what the inside looks like, that stuff works great for youtube videos and showing off your build. But for me it's all about specs, the only aesthetic choice I make is the case and a founders edition card.
Am I the only one who really doesn't like rgb stuff, and prefers getting completely non-rgb and non-led stuff?
The only things I'd purposefully buy with extra lighting would be a back lit keyboard and mouse, but that's it
I didn't bother with any of it on my recent desktop build. I aimed to not have any of that RGB crap on anything. The only thing that had LEDs was the motherboard (which I turned off), the Ryzen stock cooler I didn't use because I went for a D15 instead.

My 1080 Ti has some lighting on the side to tell you the temps and what not, which I also disabled. I think the 1080 Ti logo is something you can't turn off. I got the Define R5 case so no see through panels whatsoever unless you order it separately. Hell I even turned off the status LEDs on the case (by unplugging them from the motherboard) because I felt they were annoying.
My desktop is literally a black rectangular box with no fancy lights at all. Only thing that lights up would be my G13, G610 keyboard and I guess my G700s mouse with the status LEDs. I used to use my computer in complete darkness but in recent months, I've turned on the room light and my desk lamp because I kept on adding more displays to my desk and changing the screen brightness each night was annoying.
I really wished there was a way to change the brightness like how you would on your phone or laptop, but it applies to all of your displays if you have multiple.

It's youtube, so it has to look good for The Views
Also it's kind of hard to get good pictures out of an LED-less computer with no side window with all components colored black because most computers are just kinda boring to look at
You know that feel when your PC locks up, sound keeps repeating, fans spin up and your heart just gets that sinking feeling?
Today I got a MEMORY_MANAGEMENT 0x01a BSOD and after having Firefox crash me today for like the 5th time, I guess I should run a memtest sometime soon.
WP was officially confirmed dead, on the same day Windows engineers gave us a happy treat of releasing Windows PE for ARMv7 to the public, redstone 3 even!

This also boots on the Raspberry Pi and also probably existing windows phone, imagine ressurecting that dead platform with the full power it should've had since the beginning
Windows PE?
Windows PE?
It's a really tiny version of Windows you can boot to for things like like OS deployment software or custom Windows installs.
Basically a minimal windows installation, it's the same internals as what's on the full windows, Windows on ARM64 also includes ARM32 explorer so it's a matter of piercing the pieces together to rebuild the desktop image of what microsoft has internally for ARMv7
What's the point of windows if it can't run windows native programs compiled for the x86 cpu architecture at full speed?
That's literally the only thing that's been keeping it in the lead all these years.
I finally got around to reworking the storage on my desktop and, well, it's gotten a little out of control.

I think a little too many partitions.
Why the fuck is Neptune a bigger drive than Jupiter
I think it's sweet you're including pluto.

Capacities have no bearing on name choice or positioning, the naming scheme came well after.

Honestly, it's not like I had a choice as to an alternate name, I'm out of usable partition names now.

I've had spam actually added to my calender and my phone recently has been lighting up because shit is getting near release. I've gone through connected apps and authorized access and can't find what is doing it.

I did something like this years ago. I think I named a little 80GB drive pluto. I still have that drive, I think...
I kinda want to figure out a consistent scheme for my drives again but I'm lazy.
Maybe starsystems. Arcturus is a good name.
I'm sticking with the tried and true NATO phonetic alphabet, I don't plan on ever having more than 26 drives :v:
Looked at the Acer Predator XB271HU before I went on holidays, cheapest place was $40 less than the next one. Came back from holidays, checked again and it's now $60 cheaper and the same price as the TN variant (XB271HUA).
Now I have to decide whether to carry the fucker 3km home from work or trust an uber driver.
Proxima Centauri b or is is that reserved for network drives?
Eh, not orbiting the sun, kinda wanna keep it all local.

Nah. Think of it as order of importance if you want, the further out from the sun it is the least important it is.

It it comes in a box with a handle and generally monitors do, it shouldn't be too heavy to carry home. Uber drivers are pretty trustworthy too, it is how they get paid after all.
