Competitive first-person shooter, along the general lines of UT04 or Q3A, or more modern stuff like Warsow or Red Eclipse (it's not a clone of any of those games, those are just good general comparisons). I'm keeping details under wraps for now - the secret-sauce feature of the game is something that actually hasn't been done before, and I'd like to keep it that way.
If I'd gotten started a few years ago, when there was a drought of high-speed PC shooters, it would probably have done very well, but now I'm stuck working on it while a reboots of Quake and Unreal Tournament are in the works. Releasing after them, it'll have to actually implement that unique gameplay element well. I've got a playable prototype so I'm working on that, but since it's just blockmesh levels and stock UE4 assets right now, it's completely unfit for public showing.
I really do need to look into hiring an artist to get some basic assets done.

No, I'm at my internship right now and I was setting up that NAS for a customer. A year or two ago some people here on FP were complaining about getting DOA WD Reds too. And that was someone buying around 150 and around half of them arrived with dead sectors.
