It is a shorthand, are we gonna get banned for lol next? Or imo? YMMV? [editline]19th July 2017[/editline] ASAP? cya? <3 u?
12 hour ban for 3 letters. Just sayin'. I ain't a mod though so I'm not gonna say anything more on the matter. So, uh, computers.
No one has an issue with it being GC, brt was just making a funny and got banned because he used the letters I and T. (User was banned for this post ("Not the place to discuss bans" - Craptasket))
Something I totally forgot to add was networking, my room is a bit far away from the modem in the living room so I can either run a really long Ethernet cable or get some USB or PCI-E WiFi card. Any recommendations? Later down the road, I may run a switch, get a NAS and have network storage for everything.

Wired is always always preferable
I'm lazy and prefer to get a wifi card of some sort, so any recommendations?
I'm lazy and prefer to get a wifi card of some sort, so any recommendations?
The ASUS PCE-AC56 is pretty solid as long as you're not looking to run Linux since it's a broadcom chip.
I'm lazy and prefer to get a wifi card of some sort, so any recommendations?
If you aren't too lazy you can try powerline ethernet too, that's what I did at my old apartment. Worked great. Just plugs right into a power outlet and works, though quality varies on a lot of things.
No? LOL. You two are taking a 12h ban way too seriously. Also if you have a problem with moderation take it to the forum discussion thread. Chill out and maybe do some research on why we ban for ITT. Also a reminder that this thread as a whole decided a long time ago that this cipwkkt and general chat about anything and it's never been an issue.
Didn't take long for the power to go to your head i see.

Oh my god. Having TFS build issues. Put in a ticket with DevOps and sent them an email saying literally "I have a build problem, it's blocking my progress, here's my ticket #." Get a reply "Please create a ticket and we'll fix this for you." :pcrepair:
Every other Wednesday I have a client across the street from them in Longmont so that's my lunch of choice.
It's also 99° here (37.2° to you weird metric dudes) so the cold beer at lunch was much needed.
Ate up 300GB on a 4TB already from ripping blu-ray disks. The paranoia about already running out of space is real and I haven't even thought about my DVDs yet. Oh well, the ones I do rip should reduce the amount I need to take to uni by a significant amount and by then I should be able to buy another drive anyway. (Maybe even a NAS like a sensible person would do)
So coil whine on my PSU is getting so bad it was the most noisy part of the PC with constantly changing frequency, at some point i could have probably recorded it and invented a music genre. At the same time, my GPU stability under load was getting worse and worse, artifacts on the screen during games, boosting the fans a LOT helped a little-bit, but at some point even that did nothing. Eventually resulted in failure to boot windows, right when the driver kicks in, it would do a wierd instant shutdown that's seemed different from the normal unstable AMD CPU, or thermal stuff. Sometimes it would manage to boot, sometimes it would manage to crash the driver then recover and boot that way, sometimes it would hang on post. BSOD during driver install, but another time it pulled through just fine. Outside of windows installs ... the GPU was working fine in Linux and UEFI, or when it's running on the basic driver in safe mode. I bought a "Be quiet! Pure Power 10 700W" because i had 15 minutes to pick from the few PSUs i could get here tomorrow. I don't have high expectations of it fixing the GPU issues ... but I really hope it does. Because i really don't want to buy a GPU right now.
Well the GPU is dying, but it was a new windows feature of GPU monitoring in task-manager that stopped it from booting and left the GPU was in a fucked up state, until you cold-booted the machine. EDIT: Actually i noticed the VRMs where stupid hot, and i reseated the GPU cooler recently, so i just added fan to blow on the GPU VRMs, so maybe that also fixes the corruption.
Of course when I buy the Ryzen 7 1700 from Amazon for almost $400, the next day I check the prices, it goes down to $349 (probably because Newegg has a sale now). And because of Amazon's policies, you can't actually price match Amazon's own listings. You have to go through the effort to either cancel the order (which I just did) or buy it twice and return one of the shipments to get the refund.

Was debating buying a thing from a site, was already sitting on it for a few days. Eventually settled on the answer of yes, just need to go through and triple check financials and whatnot, so I didn't end up doing it on that day. The next day I checked back they had an anniversary sale, 25% off storewide. Bought immediately. That was some nice timing.

Although on the upside, I have plenty of time to return it to Amazon and I could swap the parts to find out which CPU cooler performs better in my own tests.
After almost two hours of late night computer repair, remember kids: That shitty $30 Corsair PSU you always see on sale? It might save your life if you buy it as a spare
This something Genericenemy might find interesting, this is a BBC broadcast from 1938 that was received in America due to weird sun activity or so the rumour goes:
Do I use conditioner after shampoo or one day shampoo one day conditioner?
So I'm about to buy both a XPS 15 and a GH5. Lots of money to spend.
I think it might be conditioner after shampoo?
Do I use conditioner after shampoo or one day shampoo one day conditioner?
Kiwi, knock me out again.
Do I use conditioner after shampoo or one day shampoo one day conditioner?
Wash out shampoo. Use Conditioner. Wash out. Finish shower.
My label job just called me saying they need to install their new router. They buy a new one every like 6 months, they go with one of those freaky looking NightHawks each time. I want to get them like an EdgeRouter, then two of those Pro AP's. They have something like 18 employees hooked up to the network, something other than a nighthawk is kinda needed. Or they never set it up right.
Every 6 months? Why?
"whats wrong with the old one" "it blew up" They're in the business of patching things all the time. Spending 200 bucks on an all in one router to get people up and running right now vs fixing the issue. Which is buying consumer stuff all day long.

Meanwhile, customer insist i must set up web server on overheating first generation atom box. When i visit, the power supply looks like it will explode, Chinese poor made 300w. He say he have 6 year SOT so he does not need new hardware. Why do I do this.
Having a Unifi AP-LR for a family of 4 seems a bit overkill, but the old router's signal dropped out exactly 1m away from the toilet, I don't miss having to stick my arm out to load a webpage :v: Plus having signal all the way out in the back yard is pretty cool
Do I use conditioner after shampoo or one day shampoo one day conditioner?
Shampoo once every two or three weeks, with conditioner every day. [editline]asda[/editline] The guys at work suggested that as when I used shampoo daily my hair was falling out. [editline]asda[/editline] Or that might of just been from stress [editline]asdasd[/editline] Oh god, am I like one of those little lap dogs?
