Good to know, I have space for the setup itself so I'll see how it goes with the motherboard box test bench and pics will be posted. [editline]24th July 2017[/editline] Any good guides on building a desktop? I've went onto Google to find some and they all seem to be about the same. Note that the case hasn't arrived yet so I'll do the janky motherboard test bench and jumping to boot methods. Moving from that to the actual case should be easy enough, may require removing the GPU first.
OK so it has been built and jumping the motherboard did work. The only real annoying part was installing the damn cooler properly.. then uninstalling it to install the RAM properly. Then installing the damn cooler all over again. Then I found out that the EVGA PSU I got didn't have enough 3x2 pin splitters for the 1080TI I bought, so I switched out the PSU for the Corsair RM750X I had laying around instead. That one actually did have enough 3x2 pin splitters for the GPU. Gee thanks EVGA. After plugging in everything correctly, it boots and man, what a day to live in with the ASUS BIOS menu, it's fancy af. I didn't realize how small m.2 sticks were until I actually opened the box. I know that whenever I actually get the case, I'll have to disconnect everything connecting to the PSU, take out the GPU and then actually install the motherboard and everything else into it properly.
windows phone is dead can we fucking get rid of windows store now please
windows phone is dead can we fucking get rid of windows store now please
not before windows s gets 50% market share
Who the hell decided that "LPDDR4X" is something that people might want to hear and buy? It looks like a retarded gamertag that you might see in CoD.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/YCFme0Z.png[/t] 44,385 operational hours. Time to retire this drive...?
Does it still work? Does it not have any bad sectors? Keep it.
Who the hell decided that "LPDDR4X" is something that people might want to hear and buy? It looks like a retarded gamertag that you might see in CoD.
Forgotten how "LOLGAMER xD" even workstation motherboards have become?
[t]http://i.imgur.com/YCFme0Z.png[/t] 44,385 operational hours. Time to retire this drive...?
nah, it's a hitachi drive. they're immortal
nah, it's a hitachi drive. they're immortal
https://www.google.com/search?q=hitachi+deathstar
my deskstar from 2008 still works fine, tho it hangs up chrome occasionally for some reason and i needed more space so i replaced it w/ a 1tb wd blue
https://www.google.com/search?q=hitachi+deathstar
the deathstar reputation purely comes from the 75GXP. A hard drive released in early 2000, since then Hitachi went on to create just about the highest quality drives on the market under HGST, and HGST while being owned by WD now still continue to push out really, really high quality stuff (Although I worry they'll degrade under WD).
Yeah yeah I know just shitposting
[t]http://i.imgur.com/Yv3TNSo.jpg[/t] It works. I also realized I didn't get a motherboard with thunderbolt 3, then I realized I can easily add it via pci-e so whatever, it's not as big of a deal compared to having it on a laptop anyways. Still waiting for the damn case and wifi adapter.
Appx is super nice
I just googled that and went to their website [t]https://www.appx.com/sites/default/files/appx-cloud.png[/t] I'll stick with the windows store
I just googled that and went to their website [t]https://www.appx.com/sites/default/files/appx-cloud.png[/t] I'll stick with the windows store
The actual Appx he was talking about is actually pretty nice. Handling installs with a powershell script from a server share is handy.
Fucking consoles. Trying to get Amazon Prime Video playing on my TV. Xbox One: Won't connect to Xbox Live. PS4: Won't fucking turn on, probably needs RMA. PC is still good to me though. <3
PS4: Hold on, I gotta update my firmware updater
PS4: Hold on, I gotta update my firmware updater
I would've expected the xBone to act like Windows Update.

I may hold onto it or sell it or something.

How do you not have enough?
The G3 has 3 6+2's though? How do you not have enough?
I apparently need 4 6+2 for the 1080 Ti.

My Xbox does that occasionally, no idea why it won't connect, then it just figures it's shit out and connects.
Looks like one of my last remaining ST3000DM001 was spitting out millions of errors over the last week. That might be what sparked lots of my problems. :v:
I apparently need 4 6+2 for the 1080 Ti.
Uhh wut? That doesn't sound right at all. What 1080ti did you get? The SC2 only needs a 6 pin and 8
I apparently need 4 6+2 for the 1080 Ti.
... What? That's 600W watts worth of plugs. The 1080Ti has a power limit somewhere around 290W I think, so that's an 8 pin, a 6 pin, and PCI-E.

That looks like 2x8?
That's only 2 8pins, you said 4. Are you getting two of those?
