Such a brilliant concept. Actually hang on, what I want more than anything was the padfone like concept device that was accounced, but cancelled shortly afterwards. It was an android phone that docked into a windows tablet/keyboard combo. When docked, the android phone could either pop up as a fully usable window or take over completely as an android tablet.

I don't think I'll ever like going to the dentist Even with all this new technology and procedures being done in 15-30 mins max, as soon as I hear the drill it brings back terrible memories

But what I really mean is how unapologetic they can be, among other things. Your example is good. It's not "I'm sorry this hurts, we can work to improve that" it's "This is your fault you're experiencing this now, me stabbing you is completely un-involved it's like I'm not even here!". Like yeah I get at the end of the day you're probably helping but you don't have to be a cunt about it. You don't tend to really see this in other professions or even areas in the medical sector.

My 1+1 has developed a weird problem. When I end a call, the BEEP comes from the speaker and the earpiece. So, when I am ending a call, everybody can hear the beep at full volume, because the call sound is at max volume and it changes to the speaker, thinking I have changed it. The worst thing is that I have no idea what caused that to happen. No updates, no setting changes, just randomly I started to get loud BEEPs at the end of every call. Send help pls
You guys have awful dentists. Or maybe I just pay a lot for a good one. I actually don't mind seeing him. Though I've had one hygienist recently that made my gums bleed even though the dentist said my gums literally are the healthiest he's seen them in a decade. But she made them still bleed. My dental and gum health has been something I've been trying to get in order for years after having not just no habits, but bad habits. So ease up lady. Only problem is wear in some areas on my teeth, they say I'm grinding my teeth, but the dentist hasn't said it, only the hygienists who I've had a new one the last 3 visits.
Dentist? I went to a dentist recently because until 18yrs old (included), dental care is free in Estonia. So, during the last year of high school, everybody starts going to check their teeth and so on. One friend got his wisdom tooth pulled and half the old fillings replaced even after his birthday because the appointments were made before he got 19. I got 2 old fillings replaced because they were rotten or something like that and they were just 2 15min appointments. You go to the friendly dentist where half your family has gone to and they still remember you and your family. She even said that oh, you look just like your mother after she had looked at my mouth for 10 minutes :v: Also in middle school, we had a week or a month every year when some dentists came to the school and every student got a check up unless they had their parents signature how they have went to another dentist or didn't have to get a check-up for whatever reason. Had no problems with that either.

I went to the dentist when I was 6 or something, never went again until I hit 20. Said my teeth were in very good condition, advised that my molars were deep as fuck and should probably partially fill them so food doesn't get stuck, was done 30 minutes later, teeth never felt cleaner. Then came back the next day, had magical hardening goop added to some teeth, 15 minutes later done. One fell out and had to be redone but whatever. Don't think my gums bled because he was scraping the teeth not the gums with the pointy bits. Still don't like dentists though. [editline]5th August 2017[/editline]
Odd, i guess it's intel drivers then
1703 isn't an insider build, it's likely either a testing thing they put in for insider builds or something that will be released to normies later.

I know this thread isn't strictly about computer illiterate people anymore, but here it goes... Kid on TF2: I know a lot about computers Other Guy: Specs? Kid: My computer can fit 32-bytes. I have ondontophobia and haven't been to the dentist in 15 years. I've been so ignorant about it that I skipped getting my dental benefits three times in a row over five years, including back in April where I am still having massive face pain. I fucking hate dentists, they scare the shit out of me. The last time I had to have dental work done it was on an operation table with two-four people operating on me. Y'all are brave.
I managed to find a great dentist - there's literally never been a wait in the office when I visit, he's nice, very gentle, and didn't even try to shame me when I showed up after five years with cavities so big I was worried I might lose the teeth. (And, unfortunately, I no longer have dental insurance so I've once again stopped going... I've been taking much better care of my dental hygiene, though, so if my teeth somehow survived two years of not brushing and massive sugar intake, they should be fine now that I'm actually taking care of them, right?) Edit: And all this, despite him having a name that rhymes with "Hitler". Which might explain why he doesn't seem to get much business...

[editline]4th August 2017[/editline] Also some of our local dentists specifically adverise they "caters to cowards" by offering nitrous and various other low strength anesthesia for those who fears dentists. Maybe find yourself one of those guys instead
Or just brush your teeth daily and you'll be perfectly fucking fine.
Three times a day! You can get gum recession by brushing only once
Or just brush your teeth daily and you'll be perfectly fucking fine.
That too, but it's still a good idea to have at least one annual check-up every year. Brushing your teeth is a good practice to keep your teeth healthy, but it ultimately cannot prevent all dental ailment from forming.
I haven't been to a dentist in probably 10 years >.> [editline]4th August 2017[/editline] I have a really nice electric toothbrush though

My brother had one of those torture experiences with a dentist (I was with him at that time outside the office) and the one time I had to get work done I had PTSD from that plus I was fairly "Spin in circles" autistic, so they gassed me in the children's hospital and did the work. I've never had any kind of face issues until today, so I just never bothered with seeing a dentist again. Still have that phobia though, but it might be like needles where I just gotta suck it up.
I have a checkup and cleaning when I'm told. So like every 4-6 months because my teeth grinding problems. I also don't have insurance, so I spend at my upper class dentist. Without work done I think I spend maybe 250$ a year there. Which seems worth it when I feel as comfortable with the staff there as I do. They care about me, don't have a ton of patients, and they are ontime 95% of the time when I walk in. "Morning Brett.... You can walk right in now. 4th room on the left."
Right onto anti virus software again because Avast is being a cunt. You'd think turning "CyberCapture" to "let me decide" mode would give me the ability to decide what the fuck happens but no, Avast just kills anything I try to run performance analysis on after popping up a CyberCapture border around the window for a couple of second. Not really sure what is so suspicious about reading a SQLite database, getting a list of files in a directory, then comparing the two but something in there sets Avast the fuck off. Turned the whole feature off because I'm giving up usability for the illusion of more security. Is there a single anti virus out there that doesn't suck?
Had my first fist fight with systemd today. Had a mate ssh into my server and we just ran over it with tmux was a lot easier to get shit running on god damn gentoo

I'm lucky and my dentist is perfect for me, once the local shot is in, I just melt into the chair and wait until the procedure is over. Unfortunately this same dentist doesn't work for my sister, she has to be put on Nitrous to get though it. It's a lot better than it used to be, my father told stories of either no anesthesia, or Diethyl ether.
