Had my first fist fight with systemd today.
Had a mate ssh into my server and we just ran over it with tmux
was a lot easier to get shit running on god damn gentoo
90% of my Linux problems are SystemD being the source of my problems.
Approx 8% is shitty proprietary GPU drivers and the 2% left are DE packages with "funny" bugs.
If it wasn't for recompiling every time there was a update and that I miss a few packages only found in "normie" distros or extra repositories for them, I'd still run Funtoo as my go-to Linux distro.
0% of my issues are systemd, what am I missing / doing right?
0% of my issues are systemd, what am I missing / doing right?
Same.
Of all my issues I have with linux, Systemd is not responsible for any of those.
And I explicitly look for distros that do use Systemd especially for servers since writing services for it is just such a damn pleasure.
So. R5 1600X or 1600? I'll be overclocking it either way.
Yeah I had a bunch of fillings and a (baby) tooth pulled when I was like 5-6 and it sucked absolute balls
Had a couple with a new dentist and she's so careful, my cheek randomly twitched once and she immediately stopped to ask if I needed more anaesthetic :v:
I thought being scared of dentists was a thing was something only kids get before they first go to one :v:

I even got a teeth pulled as a child without the dentist telling me beforehand (that was a shock) and I still love them
Windows is complaining about there not being enough memory free. It's asked me twice now to close Waterfox (which is using ~2 GB of RAM) and advised me that programs might not work correctly due to low memory.
There's 15 GB free though so I dunno what the fuck its problem is.
Do you use one of these features that uses ram as ssd/hdd cache? Maybe the driver is fucking up
Do you use one of these features that uses ram as ssd/hdd cache? Maybe the driver is fucking up
There's an 8GB ramdisk that's been running with the same config for a year or two without issue.
Right onto anti virus software again because Avast is being a cunt.
You'd think turning "CyberCapture" to "let me decide" mode would give me the ability to decide what the fuck happens but no, Avast just kills anything I try to run performance analysis on after popping up a CyberCapture border around the window for a couple of second. Not really sure what is so suspicious about reading a SQLite database, getting a list of files in a directory, then comparing the two but something in there sets Avast the fuck off. Turned the whole feature off because I'm giving up usability for the illusion of more security.
Is there a single anti virus out there that doesn't suck?
Antiviruses seem to be shit about actually doing what you tell them to. Avira keeps flagging one of the files for Tekken 7 for me. Despite the fact I've told it to always ignore the file and when that didn't work I added an exception for both it and the entire Tekken 7 folder. I still have to simply disable realtime protection if I want to play Tekken.

Try getting 7 fillings you arguably didn't need, with no anaesthetic, some dentists fucking suck :v:
I never understood why dentistry wasn't covered by the NHS. seems strange to have a significant part of healthcare left out but I guess its not that expensive:

Australia does basically the same thing. I know some other countries do too. Why is it that they all usually cut off at 18? I don't get that at all. It's so oddly consistent between countries. Just all of a sudden your teeth aren't important at age 20?
CIPWTTKT&GC V anything - nerd wayt
At least you can have a conversation here last pages vs wayt which goes by in a heartbeat and you're on the next topic.
Plus I would call us the cool kids versus those others which are all lamers.
disable snapchat's phone permissio
This sounds like the weirdest advice ever but it worked.
fucking disabling snapchat's phone persmissions worked. I thought I had them disabled (they are on Messenger and Instagram and whatnot, incl. camera) but I guess I slipped by it.
It always annoys me when I get a new laptop and the single drive is split into two logical partitions.
I'm a competent user, just give me all my harddrive space. :why:
Nah, you gotta have that recovery partition you will never know about.
Can anyone help me get drivers for Atheros AR5B125? it's a wifi card I trashpicked from a Dell.

Found this too, just wasn't sure it's safe. Thanks.

Either I'm an idiot and .inf files can't be made in notepad or it doesn't work
[editline]5th August 2017[/editline]
gonna try installing a Dell driver :v:
[editline]5th August 2017[/editline]
nope
Nah, you gotta have that recovery partition you will never know about.
Even more annoying is that yeah, Disk Management can't delete those so you can merge the two partitions and Diskpart throws a silly error about it as well.
Army dentists are the worst. When I was in AIT I "needed" a bunch of fillings (almost positive they weren't necessary, but w/e). The dentist couldn't find the nerves, and injected me with 3 different 'caines before I guess he hit the limit of what he could inject, and proceeded to drill out my teeth for the fillings while I could still feel it. Excruciatingly painful.
My dentist is amazing. Like, I remember my dentist from my childhood who was the source of my fear of needles but my current dentist is fucking incredible. Several times now I've almost fallen asleep in the chair while she was patching me up.
When i was very young a dentist prescribed some strong antibiotics for an infection i was having, this caused mostly all my primary teeth to rotten
Thank god all my permanent teeth is fine, i dint even need to use braces
1600x. It has a much easier time pushing past 3.7GHz.
Also get a good air cooler or AIO.
Already have an AIO, so 1600x it is I guess.

Asus does this all the time, and I don't understand the point of it.
Rarely do people ever want to use anything but their home folders, and even then they don't remap them to their "Data" partition they set up.
