they sell eclipse glasses here in grocery stores for a buck helps that we're ~300 miles away from the total eclipse band
Probably too late now, only ones you're going to find are severely marked up (try $10 a pair for what are basically paper 3D glasses) made in china ones [editline]10th August 2017[/editline] In a pinch you can hit up hardware stores for welding goggles though (Shade 13 or 14 lenses I've heard)
electric arc welding ones, shade 13, 14 might be too dark from what i read
Why not embrace the second half of your name and use OS X?
That's how I came up with this name. I desperately miss my Macs. As soon as it's feasible (read: never), I want to get new Macs so that I can return to that bliss. I'm still considering hackintoshing my Surface Pro 1, but I really don't want to fuck up my install.
Consumer Reports in the US pulled the Surface line from its recommended devices b/c of unreliability; they allege 25% failure rate after 2 years... ...which is pretty staggering- any previous Surface owners wanna let me know if I should get out while I still can, or are they mistaken? [editline]10th August 2017[/editline] Last year I traded a SP3 I had for like a day for a SP4 M3 because the fans were making noise and I feel like I've eliminated one point of failure
My friend who bought a surface book a year ago had to rma it 3 times due to various issues. It seems fine now and he enjoys using it.
Its been nearly two weeks since I put foxnews and dailymail on my pihole's blacklist and hoo boy has it ever made a positive improvement to my mom's fear of foreigners, brown people, and the chinese. Highly recommend doing this if you have closet racists in your family.

Should always use those plastic connector covers to prevent the electrons from falling out.
I think I managed to be one of the last people to get a pair of eclipse glasses from the last NASA officially sponsored site to still have them in stock ($5 for 4 pairs at that) on the last day that they offered free shipping that was guaranteed to arrive before the 21st :saxout:
Last time I saw eclipse I used floppy disc and my friend used the microwave :v:

Noticed the friction of moving my mouse across the mat was getting worse and worse over the last day or so. I couldn't see why but at this point I can now hear it dragging across the mat whenever I move it, when before it was super smooth and silent. I took a closer look and... [t]http://i.imgur.com/Gvqfqvp.jpg[/t] WTF? How can a mouse mat made of fabric cause deep gashes in rubber? I keep the mat quite clean. I pressed my finger hard against the mat and ran it across until I felt something scratch me. I couldn't see it, but I could feel it. Finally managed to pull it out with some tweezers and... [t]http://i.imgur.com/021I9iB.jpg[/t] Where did this cheeky cunt come from? I'm really baffled. Looks like you can buy spare feet for this mouse fortunately though, but I think I'll get a new mat too just to be safe :S
So digging through box of old pc parts, so far I've found: My old 8800GT, A 9400GT that I didn't know we had, guess it was my dads, A Pentium E5800 which I think was what I was using before I moved to my 2500k, Gigabyte board to go with the E5800, thing was still in it, the paste was like bonding agent, An old Pentium 840, Another old Pentium 4, couldn't tell the model as the paste was so caked to it even after cleaning you can't tell the etching, Then a really old P4 with the pins on the die which likely means its a Brookdale or older, couldn't tell because again the etching is fucked on it, And then lastly a load of motherboards to go with these and the odd bits of RAM. Was an intresting dig, mostly because I was looking for that 8800GT, once I get my money together to rebuild my system with Ryzen gonna throw that into my current 2500k system as the motherboard doesn't have any display outputs, make a nice little 2nd stream pc or something out of it, no point selling it as I'll get more use out of the 2500k than what I'd get out of the money. Also forgot how much build quality has changed over the years as I manged to slice my finger on the back of one of the really old motherboards, damn thing went in like a needle.
Blizzard just released a public test server + client for a new patch. For Warcraft 3. WC3 was released in 2002. Nice.
Better have lootboxes and doomfist
Did you contact StarTech yet?
I bought it used. ;_;
I bought it used. ;_;
Is it fairly old? could be power supply failing.
I bought it used. ;_;
Maybe there is a reason someone sold it. Also ask them anyways for help.
We use StarTech KVM switches at work The DisplayPort one is so picky with the type of monitor and video adapters you use that I have wasted literal hours trying dozens of combinations to make it work, and some do indeed come dead Usually it's just fussy though and DVI adapters fix everything
