seeing how there's virtualbox and vmware don't emulate MIPS maybe?

I just realized my GTX 970 is almost 3 years old. I'm thinking about upgrading to either a 1080 or a 1080 Ti. I'm gaming at 1440p and I can't decide if the Ti is worth the extra $200...

I still game at 1080p and my 970 is still great, though, so I'm a bit biased.
I'd go with a 1080ti if I could afford it and had more than a 1080p/144hz monitor I have now.

If I can sell the cards for 50% of their value after 2 years then I only end up spending like $100 more for the Ti or like $4/month extra for that extra performance. I think I did my math right...
Through a series of impulse purchases I somewhat regret I've come into the possession of several older GPUs, and one of those is a GeForce 8600GT. After some testing I've concluded that it's literally worse than the integrated graphics that come with the first gen i3's that I have laying around in most cases. edit: I mean it's not super surprising given that it's a fairly old card but damn man integrated chips have come a ways.
The 2011 Kindle Fire is the standard of quality I'd want to see in modern devices. It's thick and rubberized, the (lovely, IPS) display is surrounded by a rubber lip, it's got this nice thick metal plate for extra strength, and the only glue in it keeps the battery attached to that metal plate. Even then it's fairly easy to defeat and you don't really need to reapply it when reassembling. If anything the only issue with it is that the I/O isn't in a separate and more easily replaceable daughterboard. [t]https://d3nevzfk7ii3be.cloudfront.net/igi/pjVrHPcoQYW4UxHm.huge[/t] My boyfriend passed his on to me, and it's in like-new condition. It even handles Netflix better than a lot of more recent devices I've seen, even if it's just SD or downscaled 720p.

Here's a CIPWTTKT for ya So we just started a skype conference call about 15 minutes ago and they start every meeting with a 'safety note' Well today someone wanted to share health safety things in the workplace. So he shared his screen on skype... and played a youtube video. It came across at ~2fps and zero audio. Nobody told him something was wrong. telecom firm.

That may have been what other people did, or the link was provided somewhere.
I would have just looked for the video URL or title and just watch it myself during the call. You'd be shocked at the things people put up with just because "it's how we do it".
So landed back in FL lastnight to be told we got a Cat5 on the way directly to me. Fun.

The worst part about all the spam calls is that they're all robocalls. I miss the days when I could pick up the phone, get an actual person, and then just leave the phone off the hook while I go shopping or something because the call centers have strict no-hang-up policies. Now on the off-chance you get a real person, they just curse you out if you try to fuck with them.

I used to get daily calls from "Solar USA" claiming that my property was eligible for solar panels. Once, the person on the other end of the line actually tried arguing with me when I said "I rent an apartment, I don't even have the rights to install solar panels, so fuck off with your scam." Yeah, they tried to convince me that I have the legal right to install solar panels on a building I literally don't own an atom of. Doubt they have lots of success with that strategy.
Rude. Also sweet, everyone here should buy Ubiquiti and do this.
We got a PtMP from a neighbors house that can get cable to mine and two other houses. It was all LocoM5s but the AP unit started flaking out and I replaced it with the 120° LiteBeam AP and threw in an ER-X while I was there so I can creep on traffic. All I need now is a UniFi AP to be total shill.
Rude. Also sweet, everyone here should buy Ubiquiti and do this.
I've bought 4 edgerouters (on the behalf of others tbf). Step up your game.
My boss is gonna buy a Uniquiti AP for the office after I shilled at him for months, I can finally join the club soon.
I've bought 4 edgerouters (on the behalf of others tbf). Step up your game.
If we're going on bought for others do deployments count? Cause then it's personally 100's of AP's and dozens of edgeswitches and toughswitches. Who knows how many pt(m)p's.
It took me about 12 hours to figure out that people may not be talking about ethernet, but about hurricanes. Suddenly everything people have said makes sense.. Maybe I'm not the brightest around.
