If we're going on bought for others do deployments count? Cause then it's personally 100's of AP's and dozens of edgeswitches and toughswitches. Who knows how many pt(m)p's.
Aw. Theres not many places in my town where a single UAP doesn't cover the entire floorspace.
The places that do have multiple-APs worth of floorspace/courtyard like the building supply center are still running on dialup so they don't even need wifi. Everyone else is famously penny-pinching when it comes to business infrastructure.
Also what do you think of Unifi Video? Having one ten camera install under my belt I feel as if the software is missing quite a few features. I would really like to see SNMP traps added for motion detection as well as more granular user options. Also the company owner wanted to view all 10 1080p/30fps security feeds from anywhere in the world on the store's 0.5megabit/s upload connection.
I started to use ShadowPlay to record some of my useless video gaming gameplay and for some clips, the audio isn't in sync for whatever reason. The audio is also mixed in with my mic so you'd hear all of the keyboard clicks. I should probably start recording the audio seperately and having ShadowPlay only record the in-game audio only, ignoring the Discord audio if possible.
The sound recorded by shadowplay is horrible anyways, sounds like it's been bitcrushed or something. It's always been like that.

Shadowplay can separate the Mic In audio to it's own channel, and have output as it's own audio channel, but there really isn't much out there for separating audio on the software level without fucking around with audio devices. You have to have experimental features turned on for this to work
As for sync issues, I'm pretty sure this is because the video is recorded at a variable bit rate, I've had this problem several times, I'm unsure if it's only when you are recording from a buffer, or on everything (recording from start to finish).
I'm pretty sure Microsoft (GameDVR) and Steam (Game Broadcast), both have implementation that actually record/broadcast only the sounds from the game only, which is neet, except I haven't seen anyone else with that tech.
But since shadowplay can now capture mic on it's own layer, in post you can turn it off completely, or give it a noise gate. You could find some free software that could most likely do this as a preset automatically, just configure it once and process away each time.
Also most video player software don't play multiple audio channels at once easily,
except mpv with some arguments
mpv.exe --lavfi-complex="[aid1][aid2]amix[ao]"

GameDVR records windows sounds when I use it. If I clip something and then clip again before 30s is up I get a notification sound in the middle of the second clip.
Now I may be missing a setting somewhere, and I want to record Discord audio anyways, so nbd. And I'll only use it until I get back to civilization.

I placed an order for a GTX 1080 a week ago from a website that claimed it was in stock, but have now just received an email saying they didn't actually have any on hand and were waiting on a shipment. A shipment that never materialised. Cool.
why me
And our engineering lead feels the need to keep us appraised of everything in his life.
His 49th wedding anniversary is coming up, good for him. He'll be on vacation.
Also he had to go to a urologist yesterday, thats why he was at home.
But he learned he did indeed pass a stone, and needs more lab work done and a cat scan. The doctor is either thorough or really likes money, but he's not worried either way.
why the fuck are you emailing the ENTIRE department about this.

So... CIPWTTKT from myself
I just lost 0.015 BTC ($67.98 right now). I transferred it to an encrypted wallet and i forgot the password :hurr:
https://blockchain.info/address/1B4ywbJmqtmBXrE2VASCZT1ueh8vf7LuSt
Just bought the bitcoin, transferred it into a wallet and bang, i noticed i forgot the password to that wallet.
Worst thing is the last thing i remember about the password is that i set it to "my dick has xx centimeters"
my dick costed me R$240

i've set up a brute-force script to range from 00 to 99, no luck
have you tried entering xx?
If anyone has power/knowledge to gpu-bruteforce this wallet, hit me up, i offer a reward if successful
Just got to the office. It's 9AM. Realized I missed a meeting that started at 8AM.
You know what, if you're scheduling meetings for 8 in the morning, I'm going to start skipping them on principle.
So about the iMac Pro with its Xeon processor and all...
What does this mean for the Mac Pro? Will they redesign it like they said at one point, or will they go "the mac pro has evolved lul" and kill the trashcan?

Every Tuesday I have 2 hours of meetings starting at 8, then on Wednesdays I have a 15 minute meeting at 8 that could be summarized in a brief email. I have to commute half an hour in the wrong direction from my clients for it.

How's the build? And how's the UEFI?
I've had one Xiaomi phone and I loved it in a lot of ways but the firmware hell drove me nuts, as well as just the unusual hardware.

Is there any practical usage for fingerprint sensor except for pc unlocking?

I used to have a macbook pro before this one and honestly the build quality is good. They copied a lot from the macbook, they're both aluminium unibody builds for example. However I am concerned with how hot it's gonna get when the lid is closed and used in a docking setting, because the vents near the screen are blocked when the lid is closed. It already gets pretty toasty from having the MX150 I guess.
The UEFI is basic, it has everything you would get from a normal BIOS menu, I guess. No mouse support or anything spectacular.

PC unlocking and using it to authenticate when it needs your password for the computer account.
Fingerprint sensors still see plenty of 2FA in business applications.

At first glance, it looked like the Surface Book.
now try to do a Hackintosh build on it
I summon content.
So I'm testing a database migration script. Something was fucky with the user import, so I look at the users table. And I happen to notice a couple users with the same hashed password.
The old system used MD5 hashes for passwords, so two users with the same password would have the same hash. So I look further, and there's a LOT of users with one password.
I run a query.
Out of 2400 users, 1800 have the same password. The top five consists of "<companyname>1", "<companyname>12", "<companyname>123", null, and something I couldn't guess.
Turns out "<companyname>1" was the default password, and the others were what people usually got reset to after calling support for a manual password reset.
I now no longer care about seamless transition of passwords to the new (bcrypt-hash-using) system. Everyone gets a password reset. And passwords of the form "<companyname><numbers>" will be blocked.

Or if that fails, ElementaryOS. :v:

they're not throwing away the mac pro. craig federighi said that the trashcan mac pro was a bad design and phil schiller said that they're working on redesigning the mac pro and it will be modular, but it will definitely not come out in 2017

Would it cause more widespread panic if Google vanished off the face of the earth than if Apple did? Just trying to confirm what's more vital to the world?
apple kinda actually has a video about that
