I kinda forgot the console was still big with al the confusion in the market, like PC game streaming and the push to move away from console exclusives. Yeah, but is the fact that any old BD-XL drive can't play them down to the fact they're hardware encrypted or something on a firmware level? I'm just thinking though, they're competing with 4K streaming, so their market is limited to people who have bad internet and crazy people like me who want a physical media.
Honestly? It's simply due to the fact the disc metadata has a new marking type on it that existing drives are unfamiliar with more than anything else, so they don't know how to read them. As in, the disc says to the reader "uhd-bd" instead of "bd-xl".
What do you have?
Clevo P650HP but not the gsync model and a 60 hertz display.
Well, this is news to me..
Don't expect AMD to get SGX either. The system is frankly screwed up and I expect them not to implement it out of principal more than anything, especially since it means that potentially Intel can outright forbid AMD processors from enclave authorisation. On creation of a secure enclave under SGX, the software creating the SGX enclave needs to request an attestation key from a remote Intel server. Over the Internet. And the way this works is Intel keeps a database of software registered for SGX, approval handled at their own discretion, the software creating the enclave must send proof that it is the software it says it is before Intel delivers back the attestation key. This means that anyone developing a piece of software using SGX needs to have some degree of business relationship with Intel, and that some form of software licensing exists for the software. This puts the control of every piece of SGX-using software, infact, every possible usage of SGX in the hands of Intel. I don't think AMD wants to support that. This also means there's yet another requirement for UHD-BD playback on PC, thanks to the SGX requirement. Active Internet connection. [editline]17th September 2017[/editline]
Shame they can't just fix that with a firmware update.
Eh, it at least means vendors can just modify the firmware on their existing BD-XL drives, as long as it meets the new drive speed requirements (Likely), kill the old SKU and ship it as a new SKU at the same cost for them, just slapping on a UHD-BD logo onto it somewhere. So at least there's that.

Trackpad could be better because it's not a macbook and it doesn't have a clit mouse. The brushed aluminium on the top attracts fingerprints like a motherfucker but I believe there is a second one that isn't brushed aluminium.
Uni started bandwidth limiting my uni melbourne uni server. Just made an image of it and moved it to Monash Lost the ephemeral disk storage, which was nothing
Is there any back light bleed at all?
A bit. [t]https://www.helifreak.club/image/IMG_20170917_115823Z.jpg[/t] [editline]17th September 2017[/editline] I considered resizing it but I figured I'd be able to get a bit above 7 KiB/s upload speeds this time of night. 17 minutes of regret.
Phones get thinner and thinner and then people put a big case and a PopSocket on it making it fat again. The sleek looks you see in the ad only exist now when you take the phone first out of the box.

It's seems like a nice computer, if I find an Australian reseller that stocks it I'll consider it. At the moment I'm still stuck between a Legion and a Blade. I really have to see these things in person. If I got the Blade and find something wrong with it, I can call Linus a dirty dirty schill for recommending it.
actually i really want a popsocket but i feel like it would be a bit too hard to put my phone into my pocket/take it out. but it is such a good way to hold a phone god damn.

I always put a thin shock resistant transparent soft case on my phone. If it needs anything more than that I should've gotten a more rugged phone.

My 1+1 is still on the original flip cover. It is so worn but I can't find a new one anywhere. Maybe I should just go caseless for now.
My 1+3t is caseless, N6 was too and that made a 100ft drop.

Just put a dbrand skin on it so it's not slippery.
Looks more like IPS glow.
My 1+3t is caseless, N6 was too and that made a 100ft drop.
I typically rock my OP3 caseless, but if I'm away or somewhere that I definitely can't loose my phone due to a drop then I slap my Spigen case on it.

Well they don't seem to update it, lol
I can now boot to 2933mhz at 20,20,20,20,40 timings and at 3.8ghz on my system with Dram at 1.42v However, sometimes it won't boot, and After about 2 hours of OW the system will go blank and lock up. So might need voltage somewhere. Dunno if I should push dram voltage more, SOC is at 1.1v and I left CPU at auto and with 3.8, even 3.9 without the ram overclock it ran fine all this time. Maybe I need to push Dram a tiny bit more.
Mine kept locking up too occasionally. I gave up and went to stock settings.
FPS boost in OW is worth it, which is the main reason I'm doing it. Going from like avg of 130 to 190.

A bit of a funny story but still interesting none the less. Today at my uni course, one of the system admins comes running in, asking my mate about why the program they were running was flooding the network with requests and apparantly 'bad malware', and told them to delete it. For some reason that doesn't make sense at all, they thought a fucking MS-DOS game that doesn't even have multiplayer or any way of connecting to the modern web was making the internet go slow. And to make it even funnier, this game came off the CD apparantly :pcrepair:
Would you guys know an easy way to sift through a large amount of directories? I'm at my internship filling out network documentation of customers, but I have to sift through 700 directories, and the majority of them have no network documentation. Is there a way to only show directories that have a certain Excel sheet that's larger than 63.5kB? With that way it'll be way easier to double check my work if I've missed anything. I've already checked Explorer's built-in search functions, but those won't help me at all as the closest file range is between 10-100KB.
find -type f -name '*.xlsx?' -size +63.5k | sed -e 's/\(.*\)\/.*/\1/'
