by next Christmas the 560 will likely be replaced [editline]31st January 2011[/editline] I mean, you realize the GTX 460 only came out in July 2010?
You must be new to computers.
No I mean the price will be down sufficiently due to the introduction of the next generation of GPUs that I can buy the 560 instead of a 600 series, since the price will come down when the 600 series (680 probably) hits.

Well that's what I'm banking on anyway. Besides, i can't afford ANY new gpus until christmas.

You should always aim for the newest technology because the discounts will not be very high on old cards.
Just got my GTX 460 last month. Damn.
Just got my GTX 460 last month. Damn.
Well GTX 560 is more of a GTX 470 replacement because of price/performance. I think that GTS 550 will be the $150-190 card.
I want this card and i really really need to upgrade my old 8800GT but i'm wondering if my powersupply can give it enough power and if it fits in my case. It looks absolutely huge !
What's your psu and case?
i suppose this card is much better than the 250GTS rite?
Yes.
And I just built a new PC with a GTX460 :(.
My motherboard is an Asus P5k se from 2007. This is inside my case And my PSU says AC input: 115/230V. I appreciate the help

It's a 550Watt PSU I can actually see here http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/product-geforce-gtx-560ti-uk.html that the minimum system power req is 500 watt, that's good. But will my 550watt be enough for it? I'd like to be 100% safe and secure before i make the purchase.
It's fine.
Yeah, they always buff the power requirement so that if someone installs it in the bare minimum required PSU it's actually a fair bit above the card's actual bare minimum so that if the PSU is poor quality the card doesn't draw more than the poor thing can provide.
Thx guys it helped. I'm now safe and secure to upgrade my 8800GT to a GTX 560 TI <3
This card cost 315$ in Sweden. :(
I wan't this card so bad. I need to upgrade my piece of shit Geforce 6600LE
