He's an idiot. (This coming from the owner of a 13" Macbook Pro, 2010.)
I used to bandwagon against Macs, but I got a school supplied MacBook recently. It's pretty damn good and get's a lot of jobs done, I'm satisfied with it.

Also the screen's of Apple products are absolutely amazing.
It's just an LED backlit screen. You're simply using marketing BS to make yourself think the screens are better than others.
It's a run of the mill LCD.
False.
From wikipidia

Sorry what? I don't see that posted anywhere. Also it's spelled Wikipedia.
It's an LED backlit screen. Big fucking deal. My phone, tv and computer monitors use that too.

The difference is it's a glossy screen. Meaning it's got better colors.

The glossy glass won't increase how good the screen looks. It'll increase visibility and color in different lighting conditions.

glossy is worse than matte
and it's because it's IPS

THE GLASS IS NOT PART OF THE SCREEN. Jesus christ. It's an IPS panel with glossy glass overtop. IPS screens have been around since the 90s it isn't new and it's become so mainstream that it isn't special.

But most PC laptops don't use IPS displays. Thus making Apple laptops unique.
The only thing the OS X doesn't have to really care about is compatibility with AMD processors. Everything else though, really it works for anything it has drivers for, just like Windows.
Have you SEEN the OSx86 project? There has been support for AMD processors for YEARS. Just not officially from Apple.
No I haven't seen it so I didn't know that. Never really needed to see it since all my Macs are, well, Macs.

Ah, very well. ^^;
I've built a few Hackintoshes in the few years past, one of them being an AMD build from 2009.
IPS screens are nice, but they are not the only one with those.
Sony, Samsung, (asus sometimes) have them to.
maybe you shouldn't be plugging in a two button mouse on a mac
Where's the "danger to society" rating when you need it?

Ideneb being one of those "distributions" that are specifically geared towards AMD. There's a ton of these distributions and you can get it running on almost anything. But you're still gonna have to live with things like incompatible wi-fi drivers or card slots. It's just what happens when you run a hacked OS that's been raped, kicked and cut into shape. Hell, you may install and all's dandy and it'll just stutter like a mothercocker, kernelpanic and cry for mom all the time. The best you can ever do with this is a calculated guess based on a "somewhat compatible" hardware list that's associated with each distro.
I did this stuff 2 years ago. I ain't ever doing it again. Too complicated, no gain. You're often better off not trying it.

don't worry guys I WAS joking, I'm generally the one defending macs IRL, they do have their purposes.
During this years Pwn2Own(i believe), Mac, Windows, and Ubuntu were tested to try to get a virus. Ubuntu was the only one that remained unhacked.

I just want to clarify that I still use my PC much more then my Mac, and I'm really not being fooled into some marketing BS. The screens just look nice.
Macs are shinier.
Checkmate.
Macs are not horrible computers.
