You actually do it on your iDevice? Trying with my MC iPod Touch now.
The DevTeam never ceases to amaze me, I remember when I jailbroke my friend's iPhone 2G via similar technique. Congratulations to Comex and everyone else. I wonder if the same exploit could be used to install apps via the browser.
It installed Cydia via the website, so probably
Seems to be working on my touch, no restart or anything. Damn that's simple.
Actually, you're the only one to blame. There are ways to install iOS 4 on a 1st gen, and it isn't pretty. If you want five minute load times on all your apps, and a glitchy system, then Apple should have released iOS 4 for the 1st gen. It needs the newer innards in order to function with efficiency and speed. It does not have them.
wait what, i'm pretty sure nobody has even tried to get around apple's restrictions because they know it's not going to work out well.. source? i know there's a lot of 3.x.x firmwares with backgrounder and other apps preloaded, but it's not iOS 4..
So I can just update my iPod Touch (2G) to 4.0 via itunes and then go to this site, and I've got an untethered jailbreak?
Would it be recommended to update my 3GS to 4.01?
Not yet, no. There's still performance problems with the 3GS. Jailbreak worked fine for me but I've heard that some people get problems with Facetime and MMS.
Mmmm, same website from the old 1.1.2 jailbreak. Those were the fun times, now it's gotten boring. Now it's fun again! :D I lost my MMS settings and FaceTime ability though. :<
The fuck, when i go to the site it redirects to FAQs
Should i update my iPod Touch 2G 2.2.1 to 4.0?
wow that was kinda out of nowhere
The fuck, when i go to the site it redirects to FAQs
Are you going there on your device or on your PC?
Are you going there on your device or on your PC?
fucking... computer ill go on the device.
Erm, I just re-booted my iPhone (4) and now it's freezing on the Apple logo.. Help?
Erm, I just re-booted my iPhone (4) and now it's freezing on the Apple logo.. Help?
Once it starts to freeze, hook it up to the computer. Should boot up, did on my dad's 3GS.
Just tried it, it works flawlessly. I'm going to get an iPhone 4 as soon as they are stocked instore
Do you just wait on the page? Mine just slides and I see the backround of the page and it doesn't do anything
iTunes isn't recognising it :ohdear: I can't even shut it down, holding down both buttons just seems to reboot it.
Great, there goes all my apps and such seeing as I can't backup frequently. I wouldn't reccomend doing this. [editline]01:49AM[/editline]
DFU mode http://limitededitioniphone.com/how-to-put-the-iphone-into-dfu-mode/
Yeah, just did that. Thanks anyway.
Fucking what? I just updated to Iphone 4 so I could JB and now it's telling me to connect to Itunes. When I do, it doesn't recognize it in itunes. [editline]09:00PM[/editline] oh fuck what is going on im crying im crying im gonna be poor!
iTunes backs it up, Just restore and set it up as a new iPhone.
Nope, that wiped it completely.
It's too late now anyway, I restored it from my first backup. Off topic question but is there any way to see a list of all the apps I've purchased in the past?
It's too late now anyway, I restored it from my first backup. Off topic question but is there any way to see a list of all the apps I've purchased in the past?
I had the same issues as you. I wanna know which apps I've bought too. edit: you can actually view your purchase history through your iTunes account on your PC.
I found a way, wasn't exactly what I wanted but it is a list none the less. If you log into iTunes, go to your account management (bottom of the Store page) and then click purchase history.
Will this work on a 2gen MC Ipod touch?
cool now i have to wait 3 hours to restore my iphone 4 because the jailbreak broke my mms and facetime bravo comex
cool now i have to wait 3 hours to restore my iphone 4 because the jailbreak broke my mms and facetime bravo comex
chmod 755 /private/var/mobile/Library; chmod 755 /private/var/mobile/Library/Preference > Reset Network Settings So yes, bravo comex.
chmod 755 /private/var/mobile/Library; chmod 755 /private/var/mobile/Library/Preference > Reset Network Settings So yes, bravo comex.
how about I jailbreak it when something is worth jailbreaking for
how about I jailbreak it when something is worth jailbreaking for
You don't represent the whole population of jailbreakers tonight, only a minority are having this issue which is easy fixed. Don't modify your device software, especially with software written by somebody else if you aren't going to accept the consequences if something unexpected does occur.
Damn it the thing keeps on crashing on me when I do it.
