HTC Titan is end of life too I read somewhere.
HTC Titan is end of life too I read somewhere.
Well the thing is, apollo has been seen running on the l610 which is weaker than a lot of gen1 phones. Which strongly implies that MS will push out the update even to early adopters. Current expectations are rumoured that 3dc might have the reveal since there's enough time to make a hype buildup.
HTC Titan is end of life too I read somewhere.
I think it's too early to say anything, really.
I love my new Lumia 710.
It possibly won't get the update to Windows Phone 8.
I'm pretty certain it will. Not updating a device after less than a year would be complete and utter suicide for Microsoft. It would be Windows Mobile all over again. [editline]21st April 2012[/editline]
Good phone but text can look pretty bad.
I really don't see how. An RGBG subpixel matrix has no more visible patterning on the 3.7" HTC Desire screen than an RGB one. So I fail to see how it would make a difference on the 3.7" Lumia 800.
I love my new Lumia 710.
What's the camera like on the 710?
Just ordered a Lumia 800, anything worth to know before I get it?
I assume it will be, but just to be sure: make sure it's fully updated.
Many of you probably know this, but I just noticed - double tapping the back button closes the current app. Pretty neat.
Many of you probably know this, but I just noticed - double tapping the back button closes the current app. Pretty neat.
I usually just mashed the back button until I was at the start screen. I never noticed it only actually took two times.
I'm just wondering because I'm confused but is a front camera really needed, I am seeing this as a major downer to the Lumia 800 even though everything else is so good about it. Should I honestly be that concerned? (I would only use it for skype anyway - if that exist on wp7)

And yes, there's a skype app now. Hit 1.0 recently.
If you use Skype, yes. it is a downer. otherwise the smaller screen would be a deal breaker for me.
My friend has one and I held it, just felt and looked great imo. Screen size is decent, way better than a galaxy gio

It looks fine for most things, but the text in the web browser actually looks pretty bad.
You can actually notice a difference. It looks fine for most things, but the text in the web browser actually looks pretty bad.
People keep saying this but it looks perfect to me.
You can actually notice a difference. It looks fine for most things, but the text in the web browser actually looks pretty bad.
Yup, it's the same with the Galaxy S's screen. I don't see how people cannot see the problem with the text.
Writing from my brand new Lumia 800, any suggestions on what to download? [editline]25th April 2012[/editline] How the flying flaming fuck do I add phone numbers without having to link them to any of my e-mails or Facebook? Do I like have to delete that information again?
It makes you store the emails on an account. I actually like that feature, I set up a windows account for the phone and when I inevitably upgrade I can just pull all my contacts off of Outlook
I fear if I purchase a windows phone 7 now I may not get thew wp8 update, oh god
I fear if I purchase a windows phone 7 now I may not get thew wp8 update, oh god
I'm pretty sure all of us will get the update. Just not 100% convinced we'll get all the features.
You can just add people without using either - just type the number, hit "save", hit the "+" symbol and make a new "person".
Nope, I HAVE to select an e-mail to associate that "person" with.
Nope, I HAVE to select an e-mail to associate that "person" with.
Never had to do that.
Well I do.
I do as well. When you enter a new person, it makes you select a service to save the person to.
And I don't like that. :(

Keeps the person as a windows live contact by default but that's about it. No stored emails, no anything.
Yeah, it's just a title. I'm guessing it's for easy compatibility if you have a Windows Live account. It's pretty useful for those who need it, it seems.
