I got this 3 years 4 months ago for £9.99 and I've never had a problem with it. The only thing is that the colour is wearing off a fair bit on the logo at the back: http://www.play.com//ProductOutline.aspx?title=183347&r=PCSH
I've had this shit for years. Fully functional and awesome. A simple cheap Logitech mouse :v:
I had the same problem with my Lachesis, and I did the same fix! I fuckin love this mouse. :fappery:
Razer is a gimmick commpany, honestly who the hell needs 4000 dpi, no one really plays that sensitive, razer just makes their product look shiny and advertising gimmicking things like 4000 dpi when half of the people who buy them don't even know what dpi is. Only good mouse from razer is Deathadder and salmosa
I actually use a logitech mini laptop mouse with my desktop. Any other one just seems so...big. Although, I haven't even used one of razors mice before, and if they make them anything like their keyboards, sign me up. This thing, only in black: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/mice_pointers/mice/devices/5934&cl=us,en
I love my diamondback, it doesn't break

Games with my Razer Mamba I run freakin' 5600dpi games, It's not gimmicky It's actually good... for making people rage quit in CS:S, just instantly turn around and shoot them. But no it's not gimmicky, Sadly I can't use my mamba anymore because of FUCKING DICKHEAD COUSINS!
wireless g7, no problems at all, have had it for almost 2 years now
The lachesis is great, but I feel the deathadder is far superior.
Razer mice are shockingly cheaply manufacturered. I have the Habu though so I can't say much.

IT doesn't make you a better player because you have a $130 mouse unless you had a shitty track ball mouse but other than that there's hardly any difference. Besides anyone who plays at a high sensitivity above 4 sucks at css. Disagree with me if you want, but you just aim better at a lower sensitivity no doubt about it.

Its useful to have it.
I just use a generic Logitech laser mouse. Black with white text, 2 buttons, and a scroll wheel that seems to double as a button. I've had it for awhile, and NEVER had trouble (or a mousepad, thanks to my desk that has an unusual bumpy texture at a close look).
Hmmm lot of people saying the mouse is cheaply manufactured, that slime and grease everyone is experiencing is due to bacteria not being able to live on the surface of the product. That's why you clean your Razer products regularly to allow smooth performance. Have fun with the million of bacteria living on your other products. I had a logitech keyboard and i never cleaned it , then one day i cracked it open and it was infested with filth. Bought the razer keyboard and residue has not gone in between the keys and onto the board itself and i clean the keys regularly so that the keyboard itself looks proper.

were I you I'd go with logitech when it comes to mice. incredible quality and comfort. I got a g9x a few weeks ago and it is by far the best mouse I have ever used.
Just ordered a G9, can't wait to mess around with it. [editline]05:40PM[/editline]
IBesides anyone who plays at a high sensitivity above 4 sucks at css. The G9 is a godsend.
The MMB on my Razer DeathAdder is starting to not respond. I'm used to scrolling in Firefox, so I click the MMB but it doesn't respond as well as it used to.
MX518 owns. Love this mouse.
Your review is more along the lines of you stating how it broke after a year. Everyone in this thread should shell out the 50 bucks for a Deathadder, best mouse EVER.
No thanks, I'd rather get a Kone SEXIEST MOUSE EVER DON'T EVEN TRY TO DISPROVE
No thanks, I'd rather get a Kone SEXIEST MOUSE EVER DON'T EVEN TRY TO DISPROVE
g9x/g9. there. lack of gimmickyness makes it far better imo. you can also switch between dpi settings whenever you like, which range from 200 to 5000.
I'm just wondering if it's possible to get a Roccat Kone in the U.S. anywhere..

IN A WORLD SHAKEN BY FINANCIAL CRISIS YOU CAN BUY OUR SHIT TO MAKE YOU BETTER AT GAMES. SKILL IS A PRODUCT OF MONEY! is basically what they say everywhere. and the kone itself? "turbocore" yeah... gimmicky. "saving vital CPU power for game processing tasks " right. because your input is so much strain on the cpu. I mean, my quad can barely process a single left click. "twice the processing power compared to other high class gaming mice." once again... does it need that? no. it's just to make the buyer feel superior, adding to the gimmick of this product imo. "The rubberized top and side surfaces provide maximum grip even in the heat of the final game." rubber. what an innovation. I bet it will make me a 1337 pr0 g4am3r so I can win t3h fin4l g4m3. "the precisely calculated downward slope towards the right mouse button are the inevitable results of long term research and ergonomics studies" holy shit! they studied it! and it was CALCULATED! "“Once the secret lies in your hand it is time to reveal yourself. Feel the Aimo.” Dr. Erik J. Dale, ROCCAT Scientist" holy shit scientists. that must make these better because they've got some "scientists" failed attempt at sounding philosophical written all over the bottom of each page.
buy your G9 for £2 more then and I'll have the Kone stop bitching also you can't have done too much research into the grip http://www.pcgameshardware.com/screenshots/medium/2009/05/rnb.jpg [img_thumb]http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/images/G/01/ciu/bb/76/b09f71a88da063d2604ce110.L.jpg[/img_thumb]
My grip is all fine, and looks nothing like that. There is some peeling around the right button, though.
I have one of those old school cheap ass mice with the little ball inside that rolls around on a surface. I do just as well if not better than most people in FPS games. I don't think sensitivity really has anything to do with skill and such. Sure, it'll bork out on me at times and the ball won't grip, but that only happens once or twice a week.
I've thrown my G5 across the room, and it still works fine. :smug:
