• Vista was needed why?

Money.
That's like saying "Why has Intel released new processors? The last ones were fine!"
Because XP is terribly outdated. So far as I hear Vista was a fairly extensive rewrite, bringing a lot of underlying functions up to date and adding new ones etc. Vista is technically far superior in almost every way.
You accused someone of giving out incorrect information in another topic. Now you are doing the same. Vista doesnt meet up with todays standards. Let alone when it was first released. It made good rigs perform sloppy. Windows XP exceeded the standards in 2001. Vista is a major dissappointment. Macfags? :') The fact that vista sucks has nothing to do with what the "macfags" think.
you're just butthurt because I pointed out a flaw in your boyfriend's "advice" nice list of reasons there, I see one (completely bullshit) reason, and the rest is you jumping on the bandwagon like a good little sheep
because xp is ugly
It has tons of new features and is actually a pretty good OS. The people complaining about it need to stop complaining and start using it.
XP never went "program is not responding" on me, I've had tons of problems with vista. I kind of do more than play games on my laptop. I never got any critical viruses with XP, same as Vista, no critical viruses. Trying to design a OS with what customers want without even asking the customers what they want. Oh and if Vista is so god damn awesome why is Windows 7 coming out? Or even made? [editline]07:00PM[/editline]
Because since 2001 Apple have picked up their game again.
I know, have you seen those attack ads? They mean business. -_-
Windows 7 is made to bring in money. It's been said before in this thread somewhere.
XP never went "program is not responding" on me
that's because it had [Not Responding] instead [img_thumb]http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb249/debasispradhan/MSWordBug5-Crash.jpg?t=1250362911[/img_thumb]
Oh and if Vista is so god damn awesome why is Windows 7 coming out? Or even made?
If XP was so awesome why'd vista come out? see every other similar reason in this thread face it, you're an idiot bandwagoner and a fucking moron to boot
reap, you seem like an angry person.
Doughnutsalad, you are the dumbest user I have seen this year, you seem to enjoy making shit threads and having a bandwagon opinion. Vista was needed to allow he PC industry to evolve, by making a new standard. And to fix the major shit that XP may have had wrong. XP was beccomng dated as hell, it's nice to see a change, but Vista a bit more of a change than the previous versions of Windows. If you still have a unfounded hate for Vista, then you need to grow up.
Shit man, come on. Almost every thread I make you come in to tell me that I'm stupid and talk like you know everything, you're worse than me. I'm beginning to think you're a troll. And like I've said before, if you don't like me and the threads I make then don't post in them.
reap, you seem like an angry person.
He might seem angry, but he is right.
I'm tried, irritated and there's a fucktonne of idiots in FP today plus the anti-vista bandwagon makes me rage with the sheer idiocy of it
reap, you seem like an angry person.
It's his time of the month. What kind of problems?
it didn't look plastic enough, it didn't come with pinball and it ran slower than XP on his mom's pentium 3 and nice comeback, I suppose I can't expect anything original from a bandwagoner

To which I am the latter in your case. [editline]08:27PM[/editline] Autodumbers working again...fuck.
What kind of problems?
Program not responding is a big one, although people have said it happens on XP I never had it happen to me. Also, it's so god damn sensitive, there are tons of programs I had to run in Windows XP compatibility Adobe anything for me is a pain in the ass to get to work without running in compatibility mode. Oh yeah, and video gaming, I can not change any of the resolution settings for any game I have, it may change the start up credits, but nothing else. I had a problem with paint. (Solved recently) the way vista is set up it apparently likes to downgrade pictures made in paint to save space or what the fuck ever. Checking for solutions thing never works for me, none of the information it gives fixes my problems that occur. My XP boots faster than this computer and this computer has 2gb more RAM than my XP. I'm sure I can think of some others.
I experienced problems with vista first hand, I jumped on no bandwagon, although it may seem that way to you, I KNOW that I had problems with Vista.
Oh please, I've been using Vista since it went RTM. Vista was slightly sluggish and had issues copying files when it went RTM, yes, but after 2 service packs those issues have been fixed and it's very fast now. I was running on decent hardware, and that's why i haven't had a bad experience. Anyone that says vista is shit either A. Was/is running on outdated hardware B. Is on the "Vista sucks" bandwagon C. Had issues with the RTM and refuses to go back to Vista because they had a shit experience, probably because of A. And i've got news for you, if you think Vista is bad, then 7 is just as bad. Why? Because Windows 7 is Windows Vista with a new taskbar. Microsoft has said hunderds of times that Windows 7 is nothing but Windows Vista with improved features and slightly tweaked performance. Back before the beta Windows 7 didn't even run unless you had Windows Vista installed. If compatibility was something that gave you a shit experience, and you haven't gone back to Vista because of it, you're an idiot. 99% of the programs you'd probably use on XP work on Vista now that it's been out for 3 years and companies have adapted. Did you expect everything would work 100% after a major upgrade? In fact, I prefer Windows Vista to Windows 7, simply because it starts and shuts down faster. On topic, Windows Vista was created because XP was getting old. Durr.
Program not responding is a big one, although people have said it happens on XP I never had it happen to me. wow you must be some kind of god to have every single program ever work flawlessly for you Also, it's so god damn sensitive, there are tons of programs I had to run in Windows XP compatibility Adobe anything for me is a pain in the ass to get to work without running in compatibility mode. Haha holy shit. Either donutsalad is a troll or he doesn't know what he is talking about.
Doughnut, the only reason you are getting the "Program is not responding" dialogue is because you are doing it wrong. I'm not sure what, but I'm guessing you are clicking shit like a maniac during loading, or your PC is utter balls. Or maybe you just became more ignorant and stopped updating Vista. I rarely got the dialogue come up, and when I did it was user error (or a shit odl program that installed badly). XP gave me more trouble than Vista has (both programs hanging, and networking, I HATE XP wireless management). Windows 7 has given me one or two issues, but i am using a incomplete version, so I expect them.
...
This kid thinks he knows me. Ha. Only two things I have set to open when I start up is Steam and Xfire, and those two are on my XP as well. Oh also, I find that I can't copy and paste two separate things in a separate window. The computer has a fit and the copy and paste thing goes non-responsive on me.
Haha holy shit. Either donutsalad is a troll or he doesn't know what he is talking about.
Option B. [editline]08:39PM[/editline] Daww fuck my automerge broke. I'm surprised you haven't use the "ZOMG VISTA STEELZ MAH RAM" excuse yet

I also update a lot. So...Sorry. [editline]07:42PM[/editline]
Option B. [editline]08:39PM[/editline] Daww fuck my automerge broke.
