• Unlock privileges on school computers

They don't allow email but I can access mine. I just want the xp start menu... :saddowns:
You know what I do on the computers at school? It'll shock the hell out of you... I do school work. They're not meant for playing games or messing around on, and they don't want you playing/messing around on them, they're for school work as you would assume. EDIT: And what's wrong with the classic theme? I like the start bar on it, it's not unusable as you say.

I take the second one. Wait fuck those, I pick Windows 3.11 :smug:
[win]+D = show desktop
I'd pick the right one.
Lol, I remember back at school they had something on the computers that prevented you from just having the word "Command" in a word file, cos if you saved it as a .bat file it would open the command prompt. Of course we just typed it into excel, copied it and all the surrounding cells into a notepad file and then save it. I remember we got bored once and made the file into a rudimentary messaging system over the computers, until some total dick told one of the technicians >_>

Ok, its probably isn't the same for you school system, but try logging on to the computer(not the network) with these credentials: Login: teacher Password: learn4all At my school its a semi-admin account which has almost everything.
Deal with it. It's the schools computers, so they can do whatever they want with them.
If you could unlock more privileges from a low privilege account what would the bloody point of having a privilege system to begin with? This is a stupid question.
Who the fuck cares? Who the fuck goes to school to complain about the fucking font on a goddamn fucking school computer? IE 1 IE 2 IE 3 IE 4 IE 6 IE 7 IE 8
I wonder what the next IE will be called...
According to NeoShinsei, Internet Explorer 10.
Last time i checked, a school computer is for educational use, so ignore the windows classic theme and learn something useful.
My school IT manager is Jamaican and talks like Little Jacob from GTA IV
Dude, That's AWESOME :haw:
The point wasn't to play games. The point was to get rid of the classic start menu, which doesn't even have access to IE7 or my computer. All it has is fucking all programs. Why is it so hard to get a question answered here? To clarify to everyone, all I want is the start menu changed. Don't assume, like a dipshit, that I want games. I don't see how changing it to the xp start menu is distracting me from my learning experience, so I can't understand why you would say that.
Why don't you just create a shortcut yourself and put it in the start menu
Because we don't use the same computers all the time. There are ones in the media centers, the computer labs, classrooms (teachers and in computer classes student ones), and then tons of laptops that teachers can book for use in class.
Kid just get over it. Either boot from a USB, or kill yourself from rage.
The issue is that the classic taskbar and start menu have no ability to easily access things. You have to use the desktop, which isn't easily accesible when you have to minimize out of things, and like me, constantly forget the shortcut for minimizing all windows. It's extremely limiting and annoying. And yes, XP. We don't get upgrades until like 7+ years. Thank god I don't have that long.
I'm just waiting for windows 7^^ Bcuz my school will get that in like a year!
You fuck with the School's computer systems and you're asking for a suspension, mate. It's not worth it.
We just used to live off admin accounts which were created so often. like OCRuser OCRexmbrd for the OCR exam board accounts. Worked fine.
;17528355']I'm just waiting for windows 7^^ Bcuz my school will get that in like a year!
I'm jealous. We just finished upgrading our computers to 2001 :smug:
If you can run batch files then you can enable everything, however if you cannot run batch or exe files you need to disable the security processes.
I can do batch and was just going to try running the .cpl for changing taskbar/start menu settings from it directly.
You fuck with the School's computer systems and you're asking for a suspension, mate. It's not worth it.
Nah, suspensions are worth it, i got suspended for 'racism' and got a day on the PC/XBOX.
Wow your cool you took my argument that they set up all of the computers in the school with crippled start menus, locked features that could enable a smoother user experience, and overall severely limited the use of the computers by students, which in turn affects those of us who know how to use them best the most, and turned that argument into acting like I was pissed about font. I bet you drive a muscle car, have greased back hair, a leather jacket on, and smoke weed all the way to school. Then when you get there you tell teachers you'll murder them and you get away with it. Not.
Because, you flaming numskull, school computers are designed for use at school, not designed to suit your aesthetics. They have limited abilities and start menus in order to lower the risk for problems and keep students on task. Grow up, 6th grader.

Or school's IT was too great and we couldn't siphon anything except some Cain info, and we still (almost) got in trouble.
