Why do you keep spamming Mormon Jesus everywhere?
Because Mormon Jesus is amazing, that's why.

Uncle: My netbook's been getting slower lately, and it's been getting pretty hot underneath too.
Me: Well come by with it tomorrow and I can see if I can speed it up a bit, also I can put a bit of thermal grease on the CPU if you want.
Uncle: That's OK! I HAVE SOFTWARE THAT CAN DO THAT FOR ME!
I'm trying to decide on a title.
I've never really said anything exceptionally funny or exceptionally dumb (debatable).
When you see me, what incident(s) do you remember?
you know if you have a title you can't become gold :v:

Don't get a title. It's just a witness on that you spent 10$ on giving yourself a title that people don't actually care about, as it is not related to anything stupid (See FFF's title) or anything totally awesome (Justin.. CUNT!).
Yeah me too, the guy who put it there is a genius.
You called?
Anyone else suffering from the 'you're good at one thing so you must be good at everything' syndrome? Seriously, I often get called over at work for issues with Word and Excel because I used to study IT.

Actually, I take back the statement I've never said anything exceptionally stupid :v:

but two of my friends pronounce Nvidia as "EN-VEE-AYDA"
It's "NNN-VIDIA" damnit!
worst of all everytime i try to correct them (or mention Nvidia, or any graphics cards for that matter) they call me an ATI fanboy :argh:
The macfag in my yeargroup pronounces it NEH-VIDYA, it brings my piss to a boil. Especialy when he says "My Macbook is amazing it has a NEH-VIDYA, so hah!"
So I was trying to help a member of my game dev class to build a new pc buy giving him links and sending them on facebook, then someone else came into the conversation and told the person that 64bit is pointless, he doesn't need a Phenom II x4 + 4GB ram for using 3DS Max and Adobe Products, as a Pentium 4 with 1GB ram and a 7600gt can do it all just fine. The kid then said he could do a better build for £300 and this is what he gave him:
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=391308 £119.99
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=36450&OrderCode=A10HC 1TB Hard Drive £69.99

http://easybuyit.co.uk/acatalog/CD_DVDRW_Drives.html#a195 DVDRW SATA £14.99
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/aoc-936swa-18-5-widescreen-lcd-monitor-04050618-pdt.html 18.5inch Monitor £89.99

And this guy actually worked in a IT store building a selling computers :geno:
Im having connection troubles again, whoop de fucking doo, and it's because of a wireless adapter I use to connect to le internet.

not trying to provoke a mac vs windows argument here, but if we compare everything in mac and windows, windows is superior. It itself has more program options to choose from, both get viruses, windows is as easy as mac, and windows can do anything a mac can do, and more.
The only thing that makes me very angry is when i argue with some macfag and he calls his other macfags to "back him up". All he tells me is "windows is not user friendly!" "You're a basement dweller lol get a life lol sad gamer" "Macs don't get viruses!!!!!!" "omfg atleast i don't spend my life being a computer nerd rofl" "DUDE MAC IS REALLY INNOVATIVE. LOOK AT PHOTOBOOTH. IT HAS THESE COOL FILTERS OMG OMG OMG"

just to get this out of the way, I despise mac fanboys that wank over garage band and photobooth and say "Macs are for artists, Y U NO HAVE ONE?", but there are some people who genuinely get use out of them. Mainly art classes at schools that use those exclusive programs that only come on mac for A/V editing... which is a dumb move financially, cross-platform opens up a huge portion of the market.

Disagree on the dumb move financially, to a school a suite of Dells costs the same as a suite of iMacs. Apple discount for schools to the max.

I prefer Mac OS over Windows, and thats my opinion. And yes, I have used Windows since I was about 6, and Mac OS for one year.
For any programmers:
http://forum.returntoblockland.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2898
The goal of this guy was to create a program that makes three text files 2-5 lines in length using text specified by the user, and then zip them (which is how an addon for the game this forum is about is packaged). This is all fine and dandy, but the OP claims he put 200,000 lines and "several years" or something into this VB project, saying something about the line additions increasing "speed" and "accuracy." He's either just attracting attention or is doing something horribly wrong. I tried to convince him of this but was flamed by the community who has no experience whatsoever. I even replicated this shit in 30-line PHP and Lua scripts, but he kept saying "his does more" without saying what.
He also is adding unnecessary compulsory registration and web integration, and he's also trying to add an IRC client which makes this seem more of a practice app than a simple addon generator (which was his goal), but he refuses to believe it's anything other than "professional."
The few times I did actually help him with this shit, he just came up with some ignorant bullshit excuse to not accept it it (ex, he wanted a MySQL host, I told him to download MySQL Community Server, he said "it didn't exist").
He also seems to insult everybody else making a similar project saying that "they're unoriginal," which makes the OP a hypocrite because many people have made projects like this before him.
A bonus lol is on page 32 - he explains how there's this big huge organization called Jeepserver and that he's the owner of it. OP is 13 by the way.
Since I have no idea about programming, What is he trying to make exactly?
Disagree on the dumb move financially, to a school a suite of Dells costs the same as a suite of iMacs. Apple discount for schools to the max.
Yes but believe it or not, so does Dell. If they can get 200 Dell PC's for little less than 200 Apple PC's, they're probably going with the Dell's for 1 paticulare reason.
Not everyone has an Apple PC in their home, however everyone has a PC running Windows.
Not everyone has ever even worked with an Apple PC, but everyone has dragged the mouse around on a Windows PC atleast once.
That's the thing. It doesn't do diddley dick differense if they give the schools discounts, if the students can't use their Apple experience in their lifestyle.

I know dell do it since my dad bought a shitload of Dell machines for a business, £800 on the website, he got a 20" monitor and other stuff thrown in and each machine for £650, or a fair bit cheaper.
I personally dislike the way Microsoft have monopolized the desktop OS market, but what can you do?
Personally I love the monopol, as that way I only have to study my MTCIP, rather than fiddle around with linux or OS X problems.
Sure there should be a spot on the market for everyone, it's rightfully everyone gets a fair share for producing their unique software, but sitting as level 1 supporter, being asked why a linux distro won't boot, my mind's full of fuck and the solution is install Windows or I can't help, which makes my work a whole lot easier.
It also means that everytime I'm doing enterprise-level support, I'm gonna end up at some generic HP or Dell running Windows 7 Ent. or XP Pro.
It increases the market for jobs, which is a good thing. Maybe you could do some mac & linux training, basic troubleshooting and that shit, it would look good on your CV

That's actually a really good idea, some mac & linux basic troubleshooting wouldn't do anything but good for my CV.
Thanks mate.
I think that a monopoly in the OS market isn't a problem. It makes it easier for the developers to make sure that every piece of software runs optimally, and with the fewest bugs possible.

sarcasm?
Just re-installed Arch on my netbook, It was getting bloated and my netbook has a lack of space. So now I can't get X11 to work There is constantly an error with FBDev. This is irritating.
So I was over at my friend and he was playing a Tony Hawks' skating game (don't remember which one) on Playstation and he somehow managed to get stuck between a wall that was next to level's boundaries (beyond which there was nothing)
So her mom notices it and asks me :
"Can console games get viruses too?"
