The term "megapixel" only represents the resolution of the resultant image. It does not represents the image quality. [editline]22nd January 2011[/editline] Only sissies carries point and shoots. Real men hangs a DSLR around them. My cam: Shitty compression, blame tinypics
I'm planning on getting a DSLR after I graduate from high-school and can bring one of those around with me. Until then, pocket size will have to do.
It shouldn't really matter the Mpx, as long as it's higher than 7 or so, by modern standard it should be fine for a point and shoot, Megapixels aren't the only thing that matter. You goto take into account the lens's and lens compatibility, the modes, the ISO speeds and the ISO noise levels.
That's kinda what he meant I think. Sometimes you'll have a camera advertised for 10Mpx, and people will buy it because there's a bigger number. Meanwhile the camera is a piece of shit.
only sissies carry digital. I'm rocking a good old film SLR
please...
Fuck yea, 35 years of use and still kickin. Of course that's not the physical camera I own, but I always found something odd about taking a picture of a camera. Just seems weird to take a picture of something that takes pictures.
Yay offtopic chat! I'm loving my Nikon D3100. The kit lens (18-55mm) is enough, though having a zoom lens would be really nice. Here's a picture of my cat, enjoy the browser lag: [img_thumb]http://bj0.org/pictures/DSC_0283.JPG[/img_thumb]

Also enjoying the distortion of my music that results from said browser lag. Anyone have an idea why that happens?
Your CPU sucks.
I have a Phenom II x4 955.... I mean it's not the best, but certainly doesn't suck. It's probably the 30 or so tabs I have open right?....
Never said you weren't.
prove it
Uhm.. Well this is tricky. Fuck.
I carry the X500 :smug:
I have a X700, and the legendary Canon EOS 1V somewhere :smug: forgot where I put it though :frown:
forgot where I put it though :frown:
suddenly you're not allowed to :smug:
Well people, send me your GTX480s. -30°c should be enough to cool them down :v: Sometimes I hate Canada :saddowns: Also, anyone knows what the hell that connector on the right is? It's on some old PCI Ethernet adapter. It looks like some plug for an antennae but I've never seen any like those.
Looks like the connector you use for Cable Broadband
Looks like the connector you use for Cable Broadband
No, that have a threaded casing.
Yeah, just noticed, wireless dialup? :v: [editline]23rd January 2011[/editline] Wait, those antennas are usually threaded too
Once again, it seems gman003 is right. Makes a lot of sense since this cable was used for 10 Mbps networks and the chipset on the card only supports 10 Mbps. Damnit, 10 Mbit/s is pretty damn slow over LAN. I'm gonna have to search for another card...

Yes there's threaded and there's that; same cable.
suddenly you're not allowed to :smug:
I demand a photographic proof of your X500
