I was on a Garry's Mod server and I asked what graphics card everyone had, one guy said he had an alienware graphics card. I told him that Alienware doesn't make graphics cards and that only AMD and Nvidia do. He then told me that Alienware designs the graphics cards and sends them off to AMD and Nvidia to make them.

Gparted is just a graphical way of doing the normal Linux partition stuff. So hardcore linux fanboys tend to bitch at people who don't know the workings of terminal in and out enough when they use it.

Nothing's wrong with GParted, Arch's has a partitioning tool though (which is done from the shell) and one could argue that I wasted time booting another LiveCD.

Sorry. Fixed it.
GParted is a fine partitioning tool but I find fdisk more efficient when you know what you're doing.
I have a few small horror tales of not knowing what you're doing when using fdisk, which I guess would be considered content.
I managed to completely wipe the system partition on my laptop when I tried to create some more space for my storage partition, luckily I'm quite paranoid and had backups of the important data elsewhere.
Not like the time I decided to resize my C: partition on my windows computer to free up some space for my D: partition. After half an hour or so I was starting to wonder if it was actually doing anything at all, which was when it decided to proclaim that it had finished resizing the partition.
What it didn't tell me was that it had also taken the liberty to low-level format my backup drive, which was where all my paranoid-streak backups were stored. Luckily I didn't have much important data on there that didn't exist anywhere else.
I remember having nightmares about the whole ordeal for weeks.

I really wonder what happened to this computer. It has a Mac HDD, 3 sticks of non-matching RAM and the case is missing both sidepannels, the rear IO plate and half the expansion bay covers :wtc:
I have to find another case for it but the motherboard is so fucked up, the dimensions are 20 mm short of the ATX format but the screw layout is just... ughh.
