Have you tried it when it's laying down? Works so much better for me.
not gonna work, most of my hard drives aren't screwed in. I do a lot of swapping.

Oh, well the panel on my case is easy to remove/put back on. (Elite 330)
Gross, get a toolless HDD bay at least.
I do have a tooless hdd bay. It's full. [editline]27th January 2011[/editline] guy called me again, he's got his dad helping him build it now. he was stumped about master/slave shit for the SSD and HDD. this build is all SATA. Not really illiteracy though, the guy hasn't built a computer since 1996 so he's doing pretty good to remember that. still pretty humorous.
For me, my case is warped so its a bitch to get the side panel on. My school also uses those retarded display adapters with those splitters. When we moved the computers around, I convinced the teacher to take the DVI splitters and cables from the older machines and put them on the newer machines to replace the VGA splitters. Anyway, I was sitting in a civics class where these two cock-monglers like to talk about how much they "know" about computers. The one kid was saying how he's going to be repairing computers as a job. How can I trust him with my computer (which I wouldn't let anyone else touch in the first place) when he can't even fix his own computers. He says he has some for sale. Things like his laptop that would see better days in the landfill, or various desktops he's thrown together so fast he doesn't know what he's put in them. I think that he went down to various thrift stores and yard sales until he had enough pieces to slap something together. That's not where it gets ridiculous, this is. The other kid, who knows like 2 more things about computers, but also thinks he's a hacker, brought up that he couldn't connect to the school's wireless any more. The first kid asked about 20 times what he was talking about, whipped out his iPhone, and started going through the list of wireless networks nearby. Second kid just says, "Maybe, uhhh, I should, uhhh, bring in my, uhhh, laptop." *gestures typing on a keyboard* He then continued to explain how easy it would be to get into the wireless network. As he was explaining this to the first kid, he was saying things like how fast he could get in, and started questioning how they could even find out he was using the wireless before, and that "they disabled the wireless" and so on. I hit my head on a desk because obviously they saw something showing up in an empty log somewhere for that access point, and they then added some security to it. They did not disable it, it is still running. Now you just need the access key. I wanted to wring someone's neck. First kid asked, "So is this just all on your mac?" They then shut up because the teacher told them to.
There's an Xzibit joke in there somewhere.
Yo' dawg, I heard you like Xzibit jokes so I put an Xzibit joke in your Xzibit joke so you can laugh while you laugh, y'digg?
Oh, and he's apparently been working on building it for the past 3 hours, it's normally a 45 minute job.
took me a lot longer than 45 minutes to build my first pc :'(
I built my 1st pc in 30 mins, and the second one took me an hour. Also, my computer teacher gave us a test today, and it popped again.
Name four Search Engines
I wrote Google, Yahoo, Bing, Ask. All wrong. I asked the teacher and she said, its; -Internet Explorer -Netscape -Safari -Firefox. :downs: Also, an inspection team went to the only Digital Mall in my state and they reported that it has 70% chance of collapsing. Where else can I get my computer parts now? :frown:

Oh and some old content I have from an sms: "Can you chip a DSi Large into a 3DS?" I told her no, it doesn't work like that and she replied with: "Why not? It should work like that." Wrong in so many ways.

Okay, remember the girl I mentioned a while back who said she was gonna get a pc that would get her a fucking great latency? You know what she also said? "Yeah, it's got a great GPU in it" "Oh, nice. Which one?" "I don't remember but it'll let me play WoW on ultra" Seriously, my 3 year old 8800GT can play WoW on ultra!
Damn i just killed my GTX460,now i have to work with a 9500GT DDR2 FFS....
Damn i just killed my GTX460
How did that happen?

Well then, just got the schedules for classes I have a Multimedia teacher actually knows what she's doing I don't have the complete dumbass of a teacher for CAD ("If you have 100 gigs of RAM, the rendering would be INSTANTANEOUS!") Not sure about the new teachers We still have more hope for content, my "hurrdurr blackops" classmates :buddy:
I don't have the complete dumbass of a teacher for CAD ("If you have 100 gigs of RAM, the rendering would be INSTANTANEOUS!")
During a video project, my teacher came round to the guy 2 seats down from me and did this: "Oh, you about to do a test render?" "Yeah" "Do me a favor, put it to the very lowest quality settings, would ya?" "Why?" "Come on, just do it" The kid started rendering (which went by quite fast as you could imagine) when the teacher started hopping through the class singing 'that's why they call him mister fahrenheit, he's rendering at the speed light'.

If s/he doesn't, then complain to the administration.
He listens to Queen alot, or-?
Or.....he's plain idiotic? Bit of both. On the first day, he asked which of us in the class currently used Linux or have Linux experience. Over half of the class raised their hands. He then said 'hang on, I gotta find a youtube video for this'. He goes on youtube, faffs about for a minute and then loudly plays a 'DUN DUN DUNNNNNN' video while saying 'dear....GOD'.

It took me 5.5 hours to build my computer, I took my sweet ol' time and relished every moment of it. That and the cable management was hell.
It took me 5.5 hours to build my computer, I took my sweet ol' time and relished every moment of it. That and the cable management was hell.
Took me a total of three days because the DVD drive I got didn't work, got a really sexy looking Memorex one with a silvery tray panel, then it turned out my i7 870 was overheating at stock clock on the stock cooler so I had to shut it all down, tear it all out and install a Hyper 212+. I also bought three case fans, one for the cooler, two for my case. Good news about that is now I can run a stable overclock at 4.1 ghz. However the inside still only has the faintest hint of cable management :v:
if we're listing times, it took me from about 8pm to like 4am to get it all together windows installed and working. at that point i collapsed on my bed. before that, i honestly had no idea what i was doing, and was learning everything from internet guides and vidoes, so i triple checked everything and spent a good portion of that time just gawking at the parts and stuff. im just a cautious person when handling hundreds of dollars of easily breakable computer components. luckily nothing went wrong past some zombie ram but it fixed itself after awhile. also: i used standoffs. i dont even understand how someone could forget that.
I might make myself content but who cares, currently i'm trying to learn something about encryption techniques. And i'm reading about asymmetrical encryption. Apparently the idea is that you don't use the same key for encryption and decryption of a file. But that there are two keys. One is public and used for the encryption of a file. And the other one is used for decryption. I just don't see why the public key can't be used for decryption. Let's say the public algorithm is "x 20". Then you can just reverse it, and any message that is sent to me can easily be decrypted by reversing the algorithm "/ 20". And everyon will know how to decrypt it because the public key is... public? I just don't see how only the private key can decrypt something that is encrypted by a public key.
IIRC, the public algorithm uses the modulus operation, which removes some information.
What does it hide? And how? I just can't seem to grasp it.
im just a cautious person when handling hundreds of dollars of easily breakable computer components.
Finally, someone understands!
What does it hide? And how? I just can't seem to grasp it.
If using a power of two, it basically just chops off some bits.
