okay we're doing something wrong or this rosewill case is fucking weird we are currently mounting the hard drive BEHIND THE FAN (it's the destroyer and we lost the manual)
I have no idea what people at Rosewill were thinking but they put a 120 mm fan just to cool the hard drives. Which reminds me of my story with Newegg. I was looking for a new case because my HD 4870 had some troubles breathing in the shitty Dell case I had so I started looking on Newegg. I looked at the 20$ cases because well, that's all I had at the moment to spend. The day after, I was looking at cases again and I see there's a single Open Box deal. I click on it and there it is : a Rosewill Challenger for 20$ w/ free shipping. I ordered it as fast as I could and as soon as my order was processed, the deal disappeared. It was open box so I expected a case with a ton of scratches, no screws, nothing. Fast forward about 1 week. I see a Purolator truck coming in my street, at this point I'm like :buddy: I signed it off and opened the package. I was so surprised when I saw what was inside. The case was still in its original packaging, perfectly sealed with all screws inside and absolutely no scratches. It was fucking brand new :v: I got a 70$ case for 20$ including shipping.
okay we're doing something wrong or this rosewill case is fucking weird we are currently mounting the hard drive BEHIND THE FAN (it's the destroyer and we lost the manual)
yeah hard drives go behind the front fan in the rosewill cases
yeah hard drives go behind the front fan in the rosewill cases
what
I have no idea what people at Rosewill were thinking but they put a 120 mm fan just to cool the hard drives.
keeps my drives nice and cool:
156GB Hitachi Hitachi HTS541616J9SA00 (IDE) 27 °C 39.1GB Hitachi Hitachi HTS541640J9SA00 (IDE) 26 °C 977GB SAMSUNG SAMSUNG HD103SJ (IDE) 26 °C

I have no idea what people at Rosewill were thinking but they put a 120 mm fan just to cool the hard drives.
It's the same with the HAF 9xx series. Speaking of that, I recently built my first build (1 hour ago) What do you guys think?
what
it's weird but it works [editline]28th January 2011[/editline]
It's the same with the HAF 9xx series. anyway we're just placing the ram in - holy fuck this case was hard to play by ear
it's weird but it works [editline]28th January 2011[/editline] what cooler is that? no way it's the stock one
Athlon IIs have some incredibly low temps. My friend has that exact CPU in a CM 300 and it runs at 24°c when stressed at 100% on stock cooling. Oh and, Radeon HD 4200 and 1280*1024 resolution :froggonk:
and then we discover the mobo only came with one sata cable perfect...
:wtc: how can it be an original iMac with no kidpix??? UNTHINKABLE :frogsiren:
Our school's OLD iMacs just have Microsoft Office, that shitty version of Firefox that is super slow, Alice, and a very old version of Flash. Everyone likes macs at our school because they all discovered how to use the ~super-1337~ command to make everything inverted.

Don't hate on the challenger case. I got one and my 260 is 10 degree's cooler. Which is room temperature at all times.
Don't hate on the challenger case. I got one and my 260 is 10 degree's cooler. Which is room temperature at all times.
If only that was the case with my 4870. If anyone posts a picture of a HD 4870 on air cooling at room temperature I'm gonna drop a cup of cold water on my head, punch myself in the balls and say "I love enchiladas". Wait, someone already did this... Oh well. HD 4870s have some kind of onboard computer that makes the fan noisy and the temperature as high as possible.
.
what?
That's not the same KidPix we used to have
It's like getting your childhood raped right in front of you and by eskimos no less, With their cold, feely hands...
what?
Let me clarify. This thread is awesome. Period.
It's like getting your childhood raped right in front of you and by eskimos no less, With their cold, feely hands...
Kid Pix 3D reminds me of TF2
Those temps make my computer seem like its burning up... Time to loose the panel and open a window.
Me: My mouse started being screwy today. Mom: You mean that fancy thing that your dad gave to you as a gift? Me: Umm...yeah, my Logitech. Mom: What did you do, overclock it? >.<
Repeating this from last page, since nobody responded: I was asked to demonstrate some open-source stuff to my school's Network Security Club. Because, apparently, I'm a "Linux God". Is there anything I absolutely NEED to talk about? I'm definitely going to talk about how virus-resistant everything is, and probably demonstrate a few uses, but does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
Show some hacking skills with Linux because Linux is obviously hacker software. :downs: [sp]If you didn't see this was sarcasm then you are dumb[/sp]
Show some hacking skills with Linux because Linux is obviously hacker software. :downs: [sp]If you didn't see this was sarcasm then you are dumb[/sp]
Considering my school has a class on Linux, I was thinking of skipping that, or at least doing something different with it.
Considering my school has a class on Linux, I was thinking of skipping that, or at least doing something different with it.
Perhaps show off some old and new software and talk about how so many projects have developed to be very mature and stable. I'd do a comparison between the number and aims of many programs and hard drives running in RAID 1 :v:
oh god i hate that, people go around turning all the imacs to inverted
The PC's in our school are the same with the Intel EXTREME integrated graphics. Alt+down/left/right.
